smvillalon
If you want, some of the guys at the club do this (including Herr Steiner). PM me for the details. Jun Galing ah. I'm actually looking for someone who can do figure painting for me. I have around 16kits of 1/72 figures coming in. I have not much time to work on them so I was thinking does anyone know or is willing to do these works for me(with pay of course)? Edited July 5, 2009 by smvillalon Quote Link to comment
Dr_PepPeR
i got me the Pershing So go forth and build it! I wonder how it compares with Tamiya's Pershing? I saw a Trumpeter 1/200 Yamamoto in Lil's yesterday, the biggest box of a scale model I've seen so far. It was priced at P18,000.00 Quote Link to comment
steiner
It's looking good! What scale is the figure? Are you using oils? It's a 35th scale DML figure. blending still required, but it isnt painted with oils... just with pure tamiya enamels. Quote Link to comment

Dr_PepPeR
Sir, it might help if you share the model and kit # so if we have any of those we can share the manual with you I finally found the website that has the instruction sheets posted: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/plamo/ Was able to download the Tamiya 1/35 T-72 and Leopard 2 instructions. Hope you continue posting in-progress pics. I'd like to try my hand at 1/35 figure painting one day. Bought an old chinese kit with copied Tamiya figures for P50 a few years ago for practice. I think I have to go with oils and acrylics. All my Tamiya enamels have dried up a long long time ago. Quote Link to comment

My Scot friend is coming over soon and he's interested with getting membership in the local IPMS. Who can I talk to about this? Lil's has the Trumpeter Half Track Multiple Gun Motor Carriage in stock, I saw two big boxes - it's in 1/16 scale... to go with your 1/16 figures: http://www2.gpmd.com/imagel/t/ltsms0911.jpg Edited July 6, 2009 by Dr_PepPeR Quote Link to comment

Thats good sir Dr. Pepper. I found a T-72 manual but it is incomplete which is why I didnt scan it. It's great to know we can download this stuff off the net! good luck on your projects! Sir, I wouldnt recommend starting with oils and acrylics for 1:35 figures. I would still recommend using tamiya or humbrol enamels which have 10% flat base mixed. I would also suggest getting momiji brushes from deovir at 100php each for the 3/0 and 5/0 brushes. Tamiya acrylics will only frustrate you in figure painting so I wouldnt really recommend them. For oils, there is a rather steep learning curve. You may also try citadell paints and vallejo acrylics but those also have a rather steep learning curve. Goodluck and enjoy your projects! I planned to paint the basic colors in Tamiya acrylics and do the highlights and shadows with oils. Those are the only paints I have with me so I can afford to trash those cheap chinese copies. Where can I buy momiji brushes? I have mostly W&N sable brushes. Edited July 6, 2009 by Dr_PepPeR Quote Link to comment

I'll bet that if I looked close enough the camo is actually a MARPAT design. Quote Link to comment
