How true...

 

The upkeep is quite staggering... I noticed that the more "developed" the 1:1 model is, the more expensive it is to maintain... Then when you try to display your model, people can't help but want to touch the model and try it out to see if it works with them too...

 

As far as I am concerned, I go by the rule, "Ang kay Pedro ay kay Pedro... Ang kay Juan ay kay Pedro pa rin... pag pumayag si Maria... :thumbsupsmiley: "

I also want to touch the models I see, some look like they just beg to be touched but unfortunately are guarded by the owners.

hi folks! something i built during th week. first try with bikes. this kit already lost a part but fortunately it wont be visible when the seat is in place. this will be a gift for someone hehehe. i hope it geta done soon. tips and comments are highly appreciated

That looks nice sir! the decaling and painting look really good. I could never do a model with a glossy finish!

thanks doc! i'm sure you can do a car or bike also. i thought i could never do this bike before too. but i think it's just like painting flat colors. the only thing with gloss paints is you should spray it in one straight motion. i have a mazda rx-7 here that i also want to salvage due to bad painting hehehe

I doubt if I can do gloss finishes, they're almost as bad as baremetal finishes, very unforgiving of mistakes! Since we're in show and tell mode, here is how my Bradley is shaping up:

Nice pics! I like the Gundam display, just a bit worried for the organizers since people can actually get close and handle the models since there is no glass case. For our December exhibit we are considering an open diorama also (no glass) but still are worried about the possibility that people will touch the models...
