Serpentor
A CAG operator is down and the cover of darkness is almost gone. They must quickly stabilize and prepare him to be evacuated. At the same time, they must secure the perimeter and defend their exposed position. Airborne signals his team, "Prepare to extract with your wounded!" Two helos have arrived, one preparing to land, as the other pulls security at a distance to cover the exposed Delta operators. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y68/toysoldierdotcom/diocomics/dioramas/IMG_6493.jpg - JM Quote Link to comment

Serpentor
How come I've never seen your pics? Anyway, three new ones: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y68/toysoldierdotcom/diocomics/dioramas/humvee/IMG_6657.jpg After a long day, Rock & Roll sits in the back of the Special Operations Humvee pondering the events of the mission. It's gonna be a long ride home. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y68/toysoldierdotcom/diocomics/dioramas/humvee/IMG_6661.jpg These CAG Operators were conducting a sensitive reconnaissance mission when they came under fire from Cobra. Equipped with an M16/M203combo, Breajer radios back important information while Clutch covers his six with an M4 carbine. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y68/toysoldierdotcom/diocomics/dioramas/humvee/IMG_6663.jpg Their ammo, and their luck nearly depleted, Snake Eyes and Scarlett are desperate for a lift home...and right now there's nothing more welcome than the sight of a Tomahawk overhead coming in to haul their asses out! This recon team signals to Wild Bill as to their desperate position. Snake Eyes has taken shrapnel wounds but is still able to light the flare. Scarlett fires her XM110 SASR on to keep the Cobras at bay... hot brass tumbles through the air. The ground about them is littered with spent brass and empty magazines-indicating the ferocity of this encounter. Its time to get the hell outta' dodge! - JM Quote Link to comment
Flash Sentry
Finally bought the DC Universe Infinite Heroes 3-pack featuring Starfire, Cat. Boomerang and Raven. I would like to maintain this collection, since I kinda missed out on the Justice League figures. My (rather small) review of what I have so far: overall, I hope DC and Mattel would make this line at a par with, say, the Star Wars and G.I. Joe figures. Case in point: Starfire looks messed up. Seriously. I love the Raven and Captain Boomerang figures though--very well done. I'm debating on whether I would get the Wonder Girl/Superman/ Supergirl 3-pack as it seems they messed up on this, too; at least the ones I saw at Toy Kingdom look messed up. If it's any consolation though, the new Supergirl figure that will come out seems to be an improvement over the current one. The pics of the figures are on this site: http://www.joeacevedo.com/docs/figurezone/...initeheroes.htm Too bad the webmaster does not allow for linking of the pics. I might just have to take pics of the figures. I might buy first the Green Lantern/Black Canary/Green Arrow 3-pack, as the Green Lantern there is Hal Jordan, plus I only saw 2 packs of that in the Toy Kingdom branch I went to, or else I might wait for the single pack Hal Jordan Green Lantern; idk. Why am I interested in these figures, apart from missing out on the JLA figures? Well, these babies are the same size as the Star Wars and G.I. Joe figures, which is nice as they sort of compliment each other. As a side note, while browsing through the store I chanced on someone who was raring to get the Collector's Edition Optimus Prime, but then he was about to get it when another guy with faster hands took it and immediately checked out. The guy was totally peeved for not getting it at once, hehe! Edited February 19, 2009 by Lord Zagato Quote Link to comment
Serpentor
I'm not too familiar with the DC Universe except for the Batman characters so I'm not totally into the Infinite Heroes line. But since they are Joe-scaled, I picked up a few. I'm really disappointed that they have very limited articulation but I guess that's the standard even with DC's larger figures. Mattel did promise new and improved articulation on the Infinite Heroes line this 2009. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y68/toysoldierdotcom/diocomics/dioramas/Sniper/IMG_6691.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y68/toysoldierdotcom/diocomics/dioramas/halo/IMG_6740.jpg - JM Quote Link to comment
Flash Sentry
Marvel is coming out with its own line of figures on the same scale as DC's Infinite Heroes, called...Marvel Universe (how original! ). Seems the previews are mixed--there are some which look promising and others which...well, hopefully they improve on. The Johnny Storm figure looks real nice, but then Daredevil--they seem to have messed this one up. Johnny Storm figure: http://i.marvelousnews.com/g/generated/Has..._scaled_600.jpg You can see how well-done this is; for a messed up figure though, check out Daredevil: http://i.marvelousnews.com/g/generated/Has..._scaled_600.jpg Personally, I hope Marvel/ Hasbro will make an Age of Apocalypse Magneto in that scale, complete with removable helmet. I am more than certain they would make a Magneto figure in that scale, though I am hoping more for the AoA Magneto. Quote Link to comment

Flash Sentry
Finally, Marvel Universe figures are out now here--well, at least I saw them in the toy section of SM Dept. Store in Mall of Asia; strangely, Toy Kingdom there still don't have them. Anyway, would I buy them? They seem to be much better overall than DC's Infinite Heroes. Sadly though, I won't, even if they're great figures. For one, they're larger than DC, Star Wars, and G.I. Joe figures--they're not exactly at scale with them. For comparison, I looked at the Wolverine figure, and if we would put them besides the said figures, in real life he would be a towering 6' plus man--and Wolverine "in real life" barely makes 5'4". The other Marvel figures would then be a whopping 7' plus as opposed to the others--does that mean they're even taller than Darth Vader? So, too bad for it. I might still buy, if say they would release a Magneto AoA figure. Otherwise generally this line would be a "to miss" one for me, which is too bad as the line looks very promising. Sana nga tinuloy at in-improve na lang nila yung SuperHero Showdown or Marvel Legends Showdown... yung talaga ang ka-scale ng Joe's eh... Yung post dati ni Sir Serpentor si Wolverine (the variant w/ chopper) standing side by side w/ Snake-Eyes... Quote Link to comment
