bluemaster
for everyday driving, matic na lang. It's so hard to drive in stop and go using a stick car without losing your patience after doing it habitually. For performance drives or long drives to provinces, manual for better efficiency and engine control. Quote Link to comment

LostCommand
Manual. As much as possible, even the steering I would prefer manual. I need to feel the machine, especially if overloaded and operating at the limit, gauges nearly red. If I floor the gas but acceleration is slow, am I too overheated? Are my valves about to melt? The manual shift will help me guess. If I shift gears and the gears grind, is my clutch worn? Is the oil too thin, too foamy, in the tranny/diffy? The manual shift will give me clues.  Machines talk to you. Especially in manual mode. Automatics are for normal folks. LC Quote Link to comment

wicked_vixen
I agree, depends where you go. I'm a city chic so I drive Auto, but when we go camping we use our 4WD (which is Manual). Quote Link to comment
