Manual ever since i learned to drive. But i'm seriously considering buying a 'matic with paddle shifter because of the traffic in Metro Manila...

Because of bad experience with old automatic cars which transmission is a major problem.

No idea about the new automatic cars nowadays.

Manual because it feels like a full experience and you make use of both feet though it can be a pain when traffic is bad.

I learned to drive in a manual. My first car was a manual, pawis steering, no aircon '83 Ford Laser back in 2005. after that, ayoko na mag manual. Automatic transmission for the win, just stay away from dual-clutch variants.

 

Contrary to popular belief with automatics, you can still have gear control on par with stick shifts when overtaking, going up or downhill by using the 2 and L gears. I've done track days with automatics and have little time difference with manual counterparts.
