TidusJanus Posted October 26, 2012 Share Posted October 26, 2012 people who are still iffy about taking the plunge from DVD to Blu Ray should start shifting to the newer format. It's not just a minor enhancement. It's a great leap of improvement from your old standard definition favorite. I'm glad I never opted to collect DVDs. I always thought they were lacking. True enough, when I experienced my first blu ray (LOTR Extended Trilogy), I realized that DVDs lacked the finer details. DVD is blurry and just unwatchable now that I've gotten used to HD/Blu ray quality. I started collecting last August and from 3 blu rays, I currently have 120+ already. It is well worth the money if you love movies and own at least a decent home theater set.  DVDs are like VHS now. They're archaic. Quote Link to comment
