^ Most songs from the 90's are actually still better than those of today. And most bands from the 90's are in a way making a comeback and so far they still got what it takes to bring the house down. Philippine Violators, Warlak, Mutiny, Dahong Palay, Razorback, Wolfgang, and a whole lot more are actively touring. \m/

For me the glorious days of OPM. Not against the music of today but music in the 90's were raw and pure. Simple music yet sensible. EHeads, Rivermaya (still remember my old cassette of Atomic Bomb album. Hehe), Yano, Wolfgang, The Dawn (may I include them in the 90's era?) True Faith, Introvoys, Tropical Depression, Color It Red, Siakol, among others. Music nowadays are too mainstream and stereotypical.

90's were the glory days of alternative rock music

Nirvana releases MTV Unplugged in NY in 1994

Live releases Throwing Copper in 1994

matchbox 20 released their BEST album Yourself or Someone Like You in 96. This was way back when their music still had angst.

Collective Soul had 4 albums and a number of great songs in the 90s.

Dishwalla, Pearl Jam, STP, Fuel (Shimmer!)....

the best!
