During my college days I never tried living in a dorm or an apartment because our house is just a few blocks away from school. But if ever, I'd pick a small apartment anytime. Mahirap na pag yung roomie mo kleptomaniac, magulo, maingay, tamad, burara at nanggagalaw ng mga gamit mo or nanghihiram ng walang paalam. At mamaya, magdala pa ng ibang tao yan sa pad nyo, pag may nawala you'll never know who took it.

At least when I'm on my own, everything's gonna be clean and organized. Pag may hinanap ako, I know where to find them and it's placed right there where it's supposed to be.

tried all. Dormitories are congested, with common areas for everything -dining, stuyding, etc...comes with food din so if you like eating outside, sayang lang.

Apartments/condo-type units are ok, quite expensive, but can be practical if you share the rent with 2 or 3 other colleagues.

Rooms for rent are the cheapest, but limited space, obviously. You're practically free to bring anyone  ....unlike in an apartment setting where you'd have to make extra arrangements with your buddies.
