cool_hedonist
nothing beats a diploma from the big three: UP, Ateneo and La Salle......why is our society so conscious about social status? even where you graduate is an obvious advantage......we'll it is so because we have allowed it........you, me, the personnel managers, corporate heads, and so on......we have constructed a culture of status rather than achievement...... Mandrake
Remember that Graduation is a "commencement", or start of new chapter in your lives after getting ur respective college degrees. Tip: Don't burn bridges. Keep in touch constantly or periodically with your peers. You will never know their real values until they can be of any help in your chosen profession. :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

philos
Don't be afraid. You are more ready than you think. Don't be too confident. You are less ready than you thought. Attitude is as important as skills, if not more.No good mastering all the skills, if you can't get people to work with you. Quote Link to comment

tavern_on_green
:thumbsupsmiley: :thumbsupsmiley: :thumbsupsmiley: share naman kayo ng tips, do's and dont's, and views about : - job hunting (information and techniques)- job interviews (usual questions and best answers)- resume Alamin mo muna kung anong klaseng trabaho ang gusto mong gawin bago ka mag-apply. Hindi ako sang-ayon with the practice of just sending out your resume to anyone. Kelangan may focus ang job application strategy mo. Research on the field that you're targeting by surfing the internet and talking to people who are currently working in your desired industry. Once you have the info., explain to the company that you're applying to exactly why you think you fit the job description. Kayang gawin ito ng fresh grad. Remember, employers will hire you if they think you can do the job, at hindi dahil "interesting" ka. The best kind of interview is where you can just talk about your interest in the job - why you are interested and why you fit, instead of having to BS the interviewer by discussing vague topics like "leadership skills". - starting salary and employers- sss, tax, tin, benefits etc etc etc Hwag mo munang i-problema ito kung hindi mo kailangan ng pera kaagad. Starting salaries in most cases are low because the employer wants the new hire to prove himself / herself first. I would even say that a salary of less than 10,000 a month is OK as long as you get good work experience. - freelancer (may money ba dto?)- call centers Para sa mga fresh grad, mas maigi ang trabaho na may involved na problem solving at teamwork skills. Consulting, investment banking at brand management. Quote Link to comment
