G.L.
hmmm wala yatang car stereo topic sa thread dito? :hypocritesmiley: Anyway, looking to get a CHEAP, BUDGET replacement for my stock car stereo (cassette type/2 channel lang sya) Nabasa yata sa flood (although di naman umabot mismo sa stereo, baka yung mga wirings sa ilalim) Nagloloko kasi keeps getting conked out. I realize baka re-wiring or check-up lang pwede na pero sabayan ko na rin ng palit. I already "upgraded" 2 years ago by buying 4 speakers.. replaced the 2 old ones and installed 2 new ones and bought a cheap equalizer para maging 4 channel. Im not an audiophile naman, i dont have CD collection so I dont need CD player, I just listen to AM radio most of the time, and MP3s with an MP3 Modulator OR direct plug sa AUX ng amplifier. Madalas din plug ko sa AUX yung laptop ko watching DVD/movies or kaya yung TV Celphone to watch TV para malakas sounds. Been inquiring Car Stereo systems.. mga Pionner and other high end brands. costing 3,500 upwards. As I said not really Audiophile, just looking for decent sounds. And to be honest dami na rin gastos sa car and house bec of flooding so budget concious na me. Tempted nga ako just to buy 2nd hand stereos.. theyre offering some sa mga car shops dun sa mga nag trade in.. mostly CD based.. ranging from 1,500 to 2,500. Looked sa Raon, meron pa rin palang cassette radio for P 800 lang! pwede na rin as i dont listen to CDs naman. Then PROLINE brand from 2,300 to 2,600.. may MP3 playback with USB so ok na to cguro. (kapresyo pa ng ibang 2ND HAND na nakita ko pero Sony naman brand) Problem is i asked yung iba sabi pangit daw Proline, "tunog lata" daw and some daw are FAKE.. any feedback on the matter from experts here? Any other brand or suggest where i can get decent 2nd hand ones.. tnx... Quote Link to comment
Magaling
Kung AM lang pakikinggan mo, pwede na rin siguro ang Proline. But since you're on a tight budget anyway, you'd probably be better off with the cheaper but branded second hand stereos. Just make sure you have the unit tested and auditioned before you buy it and have it installed. Problema sa Proline, very susceptible to hissing. Kahit lagyan ng filter, hindi natatanggal. And even if you're just listening to AM, it is annoying to hear that hissing sound that usually coincides with the revving of the engine. In short, bulok ang Proline. Quote Link to comment
edzpak
bro mag invest ka na sa me brand. kahit kenwood na tag 3,500. (basic audio cd, aux) brandnew na. para matagal mo na gamitin. ibang tunog ng branded. suggestion lng bro. Quote Link to comment
bong.a
bro mag invest ka na sa me brand. kahit kenwood na tag 3,500. (basic audio cd, aux) brandnew na. para matagal mo na gamitin. ibang tunog ng branded. suggestion lng bro. i second the motion bro. besides, kung second hand or unbranded, baka it might come out na mas mahal with the lenght of service it will give. baka in a year's time magpalit ka na naman dahil nasira na. new branded ones specially kung hindi top of the line features (pero puwede na rin) usually cost around 3k-4k na lang. try ebay phils. maraming naka-advertise dun. kempaf
may plano rin ako bumili kasi pagsinalpak ko na yung cd minsan hindi nababasa pero ok naman yung cd..wala ring AM... maganda nga yung kenwood.. :flowers: Quote Link to comment
jsenti
For starters, go for AudioMobile, or a second hand Pioneer. Quote Link to comment

Calhoun
I upgraded my head unit to an Alpine 9886. I have an Infinity Reference 8-inch sub in the back with a sealed enclosure. An Alpine 4-way amplifier for power. And Boston Acoustics Pro Series 5.4 separates for the front stage. The seps sound super sweet. It made me want to listen to all my CDs all over again. Simple setup, lots of satisfaction. Quote Link to comment
