Napaisip ako ng malalim and thought "I should read the first post" and tama naman pala ang naisip ko hehehe. PC Speakers. For casual listening, Altec Lansing 2.1 is the way to go (I simply can't recall this model though, but this is the end game of 2.1's for me). Whilst there are some speakers like Yamaha, Rokit and Presonus that are good choice as well which can handle your audio needs, you just need a DAC.

Bose Soundlink 3 for clear midrange, Bang and Olufsen for a little more bass. An old European B and W for all around. i was able to purchase a second hand Europe made on a trip abroad, costed me more in shipping and taxes compared to purchasing a new one.  But the sound quality is better than the newer Asia made models.
