Keshigami
Altec Lansing proves to have the best quality over the years. Creative can also be good but always lacks low bass. Some other new speaker systems are good. However you wont really 7.1 not unless the source supports it. 2.1 and 4.1 up until 5.1 is generously better. Quote Link to comment

Pero I suggest you go for a soundbar with a digital surround capability. That way, you can have a surround sounding speaker without breaking the bank. Also, if you're planning on using the soundbar speaker for watching high quality videos with high quality audio, I suggest you go for a wired setup over a bluetooth one. Harbor
Bose, Sonos, B&W. If soundbars you can try the ones from Sony or LG. For affordable ones, you can never go wrong with Anker/Soundcore and Edifier Quote Link to comment
Rechsteiner
Edifier for desktop. JBL Pulse 2 for portable, though they do seem to be a little fragile. Quote Link to comment

ohdy
Napaisip ako ng malalim and thought "I should read the first post" and tama naman pala ang naisip ko hehehe. PC Speakers. For casual listening, Altec Lansing 2.1 is the way to go (I simply can't recall this model though, but this is the end game of 2.1's for me). Whilst there are some speakers like Yamaha, Rokit and Presonus that are good choice as well which can handle your audio needs, you just need a DAC. Quote Link to comment
abduljackolsalsalani
Bose Soundlink 3 for clear midrange, Bang and Olufsen for a little more bass. An old European B and W for all around. i was able to purchase a second hand Europe made on a trip abroad, costed me more in shipping and taxes compared to purchasing a new one. But the sound quality is better than the newer Asia made models. Quote Link to comment
