If you look at the guys picked in the same round as Tyreke, your pick doesnt really seem much of a reach at all. He might even have the most upside among all guys picked in that round.

By the way, out of all managers who drafted , you were the most purpose-driven. Meaning, you set out with a goal in mind (load up on the hard to get defensive stats; thus you have no less five guys with more than 100 steals!) and you tried to implement it the best you can. Sensing your team was all set in those defensive stats, you then tried to improve your ft% by getting Magette in the 8th then you completed your draft by getting block/reb specialists (Perkins/Turiaf) and shoring up your 3s (Blake).

Your present style seems to be a departure from your emphasis in past seasons when you tended to favor low turnover, high A/T, good percentage (ft and fg) guys. Ironically, I have been leaning towards the latter style in my drafts this season as I have tried as much as possible to veer away from guys who will k*ll my percentages and turnovers.

the evans pick was a monstrous reach on my part, but i was fairly certain he wouldnt be available in my 140th pick.. i had a different pick in my, just couldnt help myself..

ive tried almost all strategies, never won one. that means it didnt work, time to try a new one..

season 1 = rookie GM, didnt know what i was doing.. i guess draft BPA (3rd)

season 2 = punt strategy (BLKs) (5th)

season 3 = big man approach at the top of the draft (9th)

season 4 = balance (11th)

season 5 = discombobulated mismatch of parts (13th?)

it seemed like i was drafting guys for what they offer in 2 or 3 categories.. parang lumang levis na may tagpi tagpi..

i loaded up on the wings (lebron, iggy, g-dub) and the rest were the tagpi tagpi parts..

i wanted to hold out for jennings sana in the 11th round (coz i think he'll be more useful in our league), looking at it now i might need evans' 14ppg than jennings 5apg.. hindsight vision being 20/20 :P , buti na rin lang at kinuha ko na si evans since doc snapped up jennings in the 10th..

Deja vu? I seem to hear this line from you every year.

Aga ng FPJ. :hypocritesmiley:

not really, master ajb... what made it bad, was, i was around, and i couldn't do anything about it...

deciphering my draft, round by round:

1: i was torn @ round 1 between taking durant and deron williams, but eventually i went picking the BPA... i should've took A/T gem deron

2: doubtful of my main man, but heck, im banking on his last hurrah (and additional dimes to marion) - though being old = injuries

3: again, getting a PG... between boom dizzle (who f#&ked up my season 4) and a "reinvented, motivated" gil zero... still an injury concern

4: need to address the boards and blks... took another high risk, high reward guy... too afraid to reach...

5: took my boytoy il mago (blks, pts, 3's) - w/c is an ill advised move (bromancing, that is, LOL)

6: took A/T league gem boris diaw... 2nd half sensation... any big who can do around 4 dimes... yay! (the only pick i liked, really)

7: another passing big - brad... another injury concern...

8: DC'ed pick... queued...

9: realizing im gonna be outrebounded on a nightly basis with this team, took another HRHR (high risk, high reward) big

10: still doubtful of gil's health, took someone bound to get some PT playing behind an iffy lead guard - also an injury risk

11: reach time - banking on continuing his pre-season mojo, bound to thrive on the run and gun - FG% killer

12. coz being a starting 2-guard on an NBDL level team would bring good number - another injury concern

though, im still hoping for a good "retirement" campaign... wish me luck, y'all... and good health, too...
