Hedo

Hedo Turkoglu is day-to-day after an MRI on Wednesday revealed no broken bones or torn tendons in his sprained right wrist.

Terrific news, even though there is no mention of the severity of the injury or any expected return date. Owners will just have to sit tight as the details emerge. Mar. 26 - 2:28 pm et

Dirk

Dirk Nowitzki (high ankle sprain) will not join the Mavericks on their current three-game road trip, but the team is optimistic that he will return before the speculative time-frame of two weeks.

The fact that Dirk even considered going on this trip is a great sign. Avery Johnson said, "Maybe we'll get a miracle and he meets us at the end of the trip." That means a best-case scenario of his returning on April 2nd with eight games left on the schedule. The Mavs play four times in the final full week of the season, so owers could get their MVP back at just the right time. Mar. 26 - 3:23 pm et

Roy

Brandon Roy (strained groin) is now expected to miss at least two weeks recovering from his injury, and there is no guarantee that he will return this season.

If Roy returned in two weeks he would be available for the last four games of the season. The Blazers won't take any risks with his health, so don't rely on him returning prematurely. Coach Nate McMillan could use Jarrett Jack to replace Roy as a starter, but if LaMarcus Aldridge can play he is leaning toward using Martell Webster at shooting guard and moving Travis Outlaw to small forward. Jack, Outlaw and Webster are each worthy pick-ups until we see how this plays out. Mar. 26 - 5:00 pm et

Hedo/Jameer Update

After testing his sprained wrist in shooting drills, Hedo Turkoglu said that he will play in Orlando's game on Friday. Teammate Jameer Nelson (bruised jaw, dizziness) is doubtful, as doctors fear he'd be more susceptible to a concussion.

This is a complete reversal from what was previously reported. Check back to make sure nothing changes after tomorrow's shoot-around, but it sounds like a good idea to get Turkoglu into your lineups. Nelson, a mediocre fantasy option when healthy, should remain sidelined until we've seen him active. Mar. 27 - 1:36 pm et
