TNT confirmed this report during their coverage of Thursday's Lakers/Cavaliers game. Our ViewThe Pacers backed away from negotiations because doctors can't guarantee Maggette, who has missed five weeks of action with a tendon injury in his left foot, will not need to undergo season-ending surgery. If Maggette is able to return to action before the trading deadline, it wouldn't surprise us to see the deal go through at a later date.
