What happened na to the fan? ANo na latest report sa kanya? AM a fan of Ginebra rin pero kung ganun totoo naman yung sinabing sinigaw niya, foul naman yun at out of the playing court yung hayop na fan. So, nasaan na yun fan?

Si Olsen fine ng 50,000 for foul words given to ronald tubid. D naman kasi sinadya at nag apologize na si ronald.

50grand yung fine kay olsen that's too much

being a fan of the sport or being a die hard fan of a certain team, the fans should also know what is rightfuly to be said than just throwing profanities to a team or a certain individual. they paid to watch the games live but that does not contitute that you can say anything that you want..

now that danny I. & pingris being suspended on game 3, the other big men should step up to be able to silence the crowd which the gin kings are banking on..

also, we should really put pressure on mr. too much dribble so he would eventually be out of his game.

the 50K slapped on olsen was way over board!... the commish should not be biased in giving out fines!..

Hecklers, beware

SPORTING CHANCE By Joaquin M. Henson Updated July 05, 2009 12:00 AM

Last Friday’s post-game incident involving San Miguel Beer’s Danny Ildefonso chasing down a heckler at courtside should be a wake-up call for the stadium security staff, fans and players to guard against a repetition of the ugly confrontation.

To be sure, Ildefonso didn’t start it. But that doesn’t absolve him from losing his cool. A player should know better than to listen to a foul-mouthed fan. Still, a player is only human and there is a limit to one’s patience.

Basketball is a physical game where emotions run high. When a player isn’t performing up to par, he gets frustrated and it’s easy for a heckler to get his goat by pointing out the obvious – that he’s stinking up the court.

There are hecklers whose ambition in life is to needle a player until he reaches his boiling point. They do it because they feel they’re part of the act, that they can influence the outcome of a game. They’re the dangerous kind because they don’t have scruples. They think they’re doing the team they’re supporting a favor by trying to take an opposing player out of his head.

Security staff must be aware where these hecklers are situated in the stands. If they go overboard, security staff should issue a strict warning to behave. If they persist in their insolence, they should be escorted to the exits. That’s how it’s done in the NBA, to avert flare-ups involving players and fans from opposite camps.

Security staff shouldn’t wait for something untoward to happen. They should pre-empt and nip in the bud a potentially explosive situation.

In last Friday’s game, Ildefonso and a fan were jawing it out and exchanging dagger looks for a while until the final buzzer sounded. That was when the two-time MVP blacked out and saw red

The word in the PBA is that Ildefonso’s “victim” is thinking of filing a case. Did he deliberately bait Ildefonso into a compromising position so he could sue for damages?

Heckling is part of the game. In the collegiate leagues, fans even compose verses to make their jeer yells rhyme – all in the spirit of good fun. Of course, some go over the top and the jeers turn into insults, which are personal. That’s when the trouble begins.

For the security staff, it’s important to know when to step in and silence a heckler before he goes overboard.

For hecklers, they should know that insults and invectives have no place in sports. Jeering is acceptable but no cuss words, nothing personal and no taunting.

For players, they should realize that their job is to play the game to the best of their ability with all their heart and soul – that their job is on the court, not off it. It may not be humanly possible but players must at least try to ignore the heckling from the crowd. They’re of no use to their team if they blow their top and lose focus because of the jeering.

Wow gumaganda drama sa PBA.

Eman's time to shine!

Heto dapat tag team

1. Eman - Pennisi - Freeman (Tower)

2. Pena - Bono - Washington (Sikip ng shaded area nito)

Steady naman ang PG (Villanueva - Racela - Cortes). Kailangan lang maging consistent shooting ni Dondon and Gonzales should also contribute kapag nabigyan ng chance maglaro.

I think game 3 will still be competitive. Sunday ngayon, so expect more gin fans. Dapat di padadala beermen sa mga hecklers. hehe... SMB fans dapat watch din tayo ng live!
