Edmund Dantes

akiboy
Disunity. Kanya kanya buhay sa pinas. Walang healthcare for the sick and the poor.sa kalsada, PUVs walang pakialam kung malala na trapik, basta mapuno jeepo bus nila. Quote Link to comment

DorkVader
Lack of respect for other things not Filipino. Intolerance is one of the things you will find in other cultures, but I do observe that it is most evident among closed societies. However in the Phils; where we are exposed and free to observe other beliefs, people with very low income have the propensity to manifest intolerance for things/beliefs foreign to them. Is it because of lack of education? Maybe. But you will hear about it among those who have at least finished secondary school. That should be enough to equip you with the tools to discern which are bad and which are "simply different." I believe there is a more underlying cause for this. I think it stems from the fact that as a people, we do not have too many things to be proud of, not too many achievements. We have so many faults and problems which we have decided to just "sweep under the rug" through the years under the guise of resiliency. To ridicule others is a good defensive tool to hide one's deficiencies and insecurities. How many times have you seen a movie wherein a foreigner or tourist would ask directions from a group of "tambays" and get a lot of snide comments later on? It is not just in the movies but it is a good representation of what really is. Quote Link to comment

Edmund Dantes
Lack of sense of pride for being a Filipino Hmmmm medyo hindi ako agree dito parekoy, Kung tutuusin sobra na nga yang pride chicken ng pinoy eh. Having the chance to work in an international environment, I never once carried the brand of pinoy pride ABS-CBN was preaching. I went to work with the mindset that I am no better or worse than any of my international Colleagues because of my race or ethnicity. I am a human being like all the rest. I put my pants on as they do. Its better to be color-blind and be a citizen of the world, than be a fascist Jerk thinking that ones race makes him a shoulder ahead of others. Yes I am talking to you Teddy Boy Locsin. Quote Link to comment
Edmund Dantes
Sobrang pagiging balat sibuyas. Pag ang pinoy nakabasa ng ganito "Like any other man, Manny Pacquiao puts on his pants one leg at a time" Ang reaction ganito "Whaaaaaaat? How dare you insult the Pilipino race?!!! Waaaaaaaah. Paksyu Americans dont you know we are da bist inda world because of Pacquiao, Charice, Arnel? We demand public apology prom prisident Barack Obama!!! Waaaaaaah Quote Link to comment
