jayar
For those who want an ACCURATE weather tracker (not only for the Philippines, but the whole world), search and download OSXPlanet. Your desktop will be converted into a world map (just select mercator in the preferences menu), complete with satellite-views of storms/low pressure areas, (which are identified as such) cloud cloud cover, etc (also shows the direction or path of the storms. Better than PAGASA from my experience). It will also show you which part of the earth is at daytime, and which parts are at night. If you choose, it can also show volcano eruptions, earthquakes, etc. I recommend it. By the way, although IT IS FREE, I do encourage you to donate. It's worth it kasi. Quote Link to comment

boomouse
like? porn sites? hehe For testing suspicious software and porn sites, I use a wintel machine na patapon. I have Vista on a Faronics Deep Freeze volume and just keep on deleting that volume if something goes wrong. Never had the need to use any anti-virus app on my Macs. Well, Mac for now as all my computers were destroyed by the flood that engulfed my house. Masakit sa loob but on the bright side, a good excuse to get new equipment. Quote Link to comment

boomouse
flood sucks ! :thumbsdownsmiley: More like: flood spews! But yes, the darn thing got my entire house. Only two out of 20 cats survived, along with my family and two big dogs. What was not washed away when an empty freezer broke through the roof followed by everything that would flot, was ruined. One entire data rack was toppled over and drowned in muck. Up to now, techs are still trying to clean and dry but I am not optimistic. When we evacuated, I wrote off everything in mind mind already. Yes, goodbye xServe, goodby Drobo Pro and goodby Apple LCD displays. But it is a fair exchange for our lives. I feel like a newly wed shopping for all new stuff for the house. We've abandoned the house until it can be torn down and rebuilt and have moved into a condo south of Makati. Sadly, our dogs will have to stay kenneled at the vet's for now. The only thing I don't regret losing is that stupid HTC Touch Cruise Windows Mobile Phone which I've been dying to but could not throw away for political reasons. boom are you familiar with the black and white prob when upgraded to snow leopard?running in my wifes macbook is smooth but when i brought home my mbp from the office its different. The only quick solution thats out yet is to restart your mac while dvi is plug in. Hope mac will release a fix on these right away I never had it. I heard of it, but I never experienced any. From Mac Mini (C2D) to MB Air and MBP it was a smooth upgrade and no gltches for me except the one on downgrading Flash. When the new post-flood hardware comes in, I'll post if I get any hinkey behaviour. Quote Link to comment
