ytrewqwerty Posted May 28, 2015 Share Posted May 28, 2015 Okay, I've been buying PC parts for quite some time now. I've been assembling (and disassembling) PCs since the early 2000s. Gilmore is a good place, but not all shops are good. You can go with big brand names like PCX there. If its hard to go to gilmore (parking is a bitch there - you can park at Robinsons Magnolia then walk), you can go to other PCX branches in other locations. They have uniform prices anyway. Another good shop IMHO is PC Options. They have a gilmore branch and a shaw boulevard branch. They are generally lower in price than PCX, but have fewer locations. Villman and Octagon is okay for ready-built desktops and peripherals. They also have a lot of branches. If you are just going to save P200-P500 pesos by going to Gilmore, might as well buy in a shop that's near you. In that way, its easier to claim warranties if needed. I usually ask how long a warranty they are giving to gauge the quality of the product they sell. Kung mga 3 mos or less lang, then I won't use it for any important files na walang copy elsewhere.
