juan_diego
I saw a Chevrolet Captiva ran over somebody and just left the victim to die. I don't know if the victim survived as she was taken away quickly by a passing police patrol, presumably to a hospital. This happened near Eastwood late night, 3 nights ago. I hope you guys can help spread the word on the plate number of the hit and run SUV - JLP88. Again, it is a Chevrolet Captiva that appears to grayish in color. It's difficult to say the exact color or shade as it was dark. There is also reason to believe that the SUV may have been stolen or the driver was using a fake plate. Either that or the car belongs to a very influential family. I checked the plate number by texting LTO but the sms replied that LTO has no record of such a plate number. Keep your eyes open for this SUV to give justice to the victim. Quote Link to comment
smooth69
don't know how fast is how fast in pinas. some of these cars involved cannot physically achieve such speeds. I have driven in the fastest motorways, highways and freeways in the world. I can tell you it is not easy to achieve these road speeds people here are mentioning. Handling your souped-up or ordinary cars not built for racing is totally, totally different. For example, in germany where the autobahn is one of the fastest freeways in world, I achieved a speed of 109 clicks (MPH), on the slow lane, a porsche passed me easy at 140 clicks on the faster lane. AT THAT SPEED i COULD ONLY MAINTAIN FOR A FEW SECONDS, because any slight miscalculation or even a slight movement of the steering wheel or a bump or a pothole on the road can send me spinning and cartwheeling. This was just your ordinary toyota corolla. nothing fancy. In the americas, i only achieved a road maximum without cops on my butt as 102 clicks but I have maintained 90 clicks for several minutes no problem. In pinas, the most i could do on the conditions of the road, traffic, potholes and all, only 70 clicks!!!! Check the SCTEX highway, 200kph is normal in this long highway. theres a section wherein you will traverse a very long straight about 20km? most of us achieve our top speed in that part of the highway.
