110 kph on an XRM 110. for several minutes in Ilocos. maganda ang daan and maluwang, hindi pa masyadong maraming sasakyan. todo arangkada hindi ko namalayan na ganung speed na ako :thumbsupsmiley: but after a day of hard riding nagchange oil ako (black agad) and change spark plug (busted na) :thumbsdownsmiley:

160 kph in a BMW 323 in the SLEX -- I understood then why German cars are excellently designed for high speeds.

They're usually over-engineered, that's why. Your usual 3-series chassis has to be able to carry a much larger and more powerful engine (historically a three-liter straight-six) and still drive well.

 

Fitting a relatively small four-banger in its engine bay means it won't break a sweat, no matter how stupid you get behind the wheel or how heavy you are on the gas pedal.

 

Back to topic:

145 km/h on my twin-spark Jazz. Chassis behaves better at speed than my old Honda, but the engine just doesn't enjoy it.
