Your usual 3-series chassis has to be able to carry a much larger and more powerful engine (historically a three-liter straight-six) and still drive well. Fitting a relatively small four-banger in its engine bay means it won't break a sweat, no matter how stupid you get behind the wheel or how heavy you are on the gas pedal. Back to topic:145 km/h on my twin-spark Jazz. Chassis behaves better at speed than my old Honda, but the engine just doesn't enjoy it. Quote Link to comment
