thebatman
Remains of the Day Amazing read but very excruciating to just go through it. It's probably the most boring book I've read but once you get to the end, you understand why the first 90% isn't too exciting. Written by Kazushi Ishiguro (hope spelled it right). He's a japanese guy living in Britain Quote Link to comment
kristen23
Steig Larsson's trilogy is one of the best I've read out there. I'd recommend it highly. At magaganda yung movie adaptations. (I have copies). If you want a nice mindf#&k, try The Wind-up BIrd Chronicle by Haruki Murakami. Nakakabaliw. Quote Link to comment
Miggz
James Clavell's Asian Series Medyo mahahaba nga lang coz some of the books are 1000+ pages... but you'll get a good dose of asian psychology, culture and history. Quote Link to comment

richcarson
If you, like myself love wordplay then you wont be amiss with Piers Anthony and the Xanth Series. Tons of witty stories that immerse you into the world of Xanth. Quote Link to comment
richcarson
But if youre more of an Emo then Stephen R Donaldson and the "Chronicles of Thomas Covenant" would be a good read. Youre wife left you because you have leprosy but when you get mysteriously transported to a new land, you find out that the things you hold dear and make you a leper of society are actually what makes you special... Sometimes, I like imaginingthe characters they mention. Wonderful depiction of the Land and of scenery. Quote Link to comment
