got my D40x 28K, with 2G SD card. sa mayers.

I got my D40x kit for 28k, with 1GB SD card and bag at Henry's recently. I also purchased an SB400 and tripod for 5400 and 800 respectively about a week later. So far im very pleased with my D40x. My friends and co-workers are hands down impressed with the resulting pictures. :thumbsupsmiley:

My parents bought an unknown brand of Camera. Oh damn, I wonder how would it perform.

has anyone tried the new AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR?? where can we buy it locally?? how much?? how was your experience(if you tried it or have it)??

 

what about the AF-S NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G VR??

There's not much you can do to clean the body. If it gets wet, get rid of the liquid with a paper towel, cloth, whatever, etc ASAP. To get rid of dirt, simply wipe it off with a damp cloth. As with all electronic devices, don't use a cleaning solution.

 

Also, don't use any type of liquid or cleaner to clean your lenses. Doing so will only mess up the special coatings on the lens. Use lint free cloth instead.

 

If you start seeing dark spots in your pictures, use a sensor swab. The Photographic Solution brand of sensor swabs is industry standard.

personally, touching/cleaning the sensor using anything is my last resort.

 

before using a sensor swap, check first if you can just blow away dust on the sensor using, well, a blower like this one:
