Depends on budget. Many say sensor-wise the Fujifilm is great. Sony NEX and Samsung is good too for the budget minded. But if you have the cash, pay for the Olympus OMD series. Those continually reign at the top since 2012.

I love my fuji xe1. Though I am confident to say am no amateur photographer despite being a hobbyists photog only. I can produce nice, beautiful photos for commercial needs.

 

I use my fuji both for work and travel. Thinking of adding a XT1 to the line up and a 35mm.

 

@gilliana - I can relate with what you said. Ayaw ko din ng pressure. Haha. I used to have a Nikon D90 then switched to fuji. How's your D300s? What lenses do you have?

nikon d300s. may be old and only 12MP, pero, ultra-reliable and responsive. ang tibay din

For the compact one, I like Sony RX100 series. Either mark 2 or 3 is good.
