johnlove
I feel that unless a linux distro could come up with a acad compatible linux flavor, windows would continue her grip on the computer world. Quote Link to comment
itikbitik
QCAD and OPEN CASCADE is not a bad alternative to ACAD. Quote Link to comment

olegna
Good pm guys. Just want to know what Linux fits best for fileserver and webfilter using untangle or pfsense. Quote Link to comment
itikbitik
@olegna untangle on it's own is a stand alone system with it's own choice distribution. Still haven't gone through the kernel but you do not install it on top of a distro but as an appliance. pfsense is BSD native so I would suggest using freeBDS which is not Linux. evilson
Mga bro, sa tingin ninyo anu ang madali at palaging ginagamit na programming language sa linux especially obuntu? can anyone give me a suggestion? Quote Link to comment
itikbitik
evilson depends on what you would like to achieve. I personally prefer perl and plain old bash scripting for management tools. I also use PHP and Ruby for Web facing stuff. Ubuntu like any other distro can be a platform for most languages. Quote Link to comment

TracerOne
I've tried Ubuntu 10.10 and I liked it. Most of the features that a Windows Operating can give is also available in Ubuntu. The only downside is it's not that user friendly especially when you're used to using the Windows Operating System you'll be having a hard time trying out Ubuntu especially when you want to connect it to a network. Ubuntu is great but I think Windows 7 is better. Quote Link to comment
wiz biz
I don't think so. ubuntu is much way better than windows and as far as I know windows sucks. I've tried Ubuntu 10.10 and I liked it. magtatah0ng
Ganda ng Linux pang server. Lean and mean and very inexpensive. Ok siya pang host ng website with database. Sa dati kong office puro Windows ang server namin ang mamahal ng software! Sa current work ko puro Linux, puro libre! Quote Link to comment
