male_spud
From Mayo clinic emeritus hypertension specialist. Blood pressure: Does it have a daily pattern?Does blood pressure have a daily pattern? I've noticed that my blood pressure is always lower in the morning than at night. Answerfrom Sheldon G. Sheps, M.D. Blood pressure has a daily pattern. Blood pressure is normally lower at night while you're sleeping. Your blood pressure starts to rise a few hours before you wake up. Your blood pressure continues to rise during the day, usually peaking in the middle of the afternoon. Then in the late afternoon and evening, your blood pressure begins dropping again. Having an abnormal blood pressure pattern, such as high blood pressure in the morning, can mean that you have a health problem. Potential problems include: Poorly controlled high blood pressureSleep apneaTumors of the adrenal glandKidney diseaseRisk factors for developing an abnormal blood pressure pattern include: Night-shift workCaffeine useTobacco useToo much stressTaking blood pressure medications that don't last 24 hoursYour doctor can tell you if an abnormal daily blood pressure pattern may need treatment. He or she may recommend a 24-hour blood pressure monitoring test. The device used for this test measures your blood pressure at regular intervals over a 24-hour period and provides a more accurate picture of blood pressure changes over a typical day and night. well said! common recommendation already in american heart association is to do a 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring in hypertensives Quote Link to comment
male_spud
Dont worry about it, just check it in a few months. i agree. as long as it doesn't double the upper limit of platelets you should be fine. Quote Link to comment

Direct Hit
Hi docs. Bawal ba yun mga sexual enhancers (robust, impeous man, etc.) pag may heart ailment? Thanks Quote Link to comment
male_spud
I wouldn't advise taking them if you have a heart problem, especially if you're taking nitrates. Sexual enhancers usually contain compounds which can 1)increase heart rate which can cause the heart to overwork itself and 2)vasodilators which can cause your blood pressure to drop suddenly. Of course, this is all in theory, since no one actually puts on the side of the box kung ano ang laman ng mga supplements na yan. Take at your own risk Quote Link to comment
Archus
Gents, Any orthopedic surgeon/rehabilitation doctors here? I have a question regarding dislocation/fractures and the like. Kasi my cousin have a second right shoulder dislocation that occurred two years ago early 2011 dahil sa isang practice match sa MMA. with proper treatment and rehabilitation sa sikat na government hospital e naka-recoever siya ng mabuti. As per previous advise by the doctor ay wag na daw siya mag engage sa MMA sports dahil sa injury. So tumigil na siya for about two years na, pero recently may nakausap din kasi siya na conditioning coach at MMA professional na pwede pa daw siya mag MMA in consideration na dapat magpa surgery siya to tighten the muscle and undergo a different set therapy. Ang tanong ko po ay possible ba talaga yung sinabi ng MMA coach at professional? and if ever, magkano ang magiging cost nun (surgery, therapy, conditioning, etc)? please share your suggestions, opinions. All comments are highly appreciated. Edited October 3, 2013 by Archus Quote Link to comment

bonesknows
Yes it can be done arthroscopically meaning inserting camera inside the shoulder joint and repairing the rotator cuff muscles the help in shoulder motion which is very important specially in athletic individual much more in mma. Surgery depends on what rotator cuff and how severely torn it is.Gents, Any orthopedic surgeon/rehabilitation doctors here? I have a question regarding dislocation/fractures and the like. bonesknows
I suggest have an mri done first to evaluate the extent of the injury then we'll cross the bridge when we get there. Quote Link to comment
blacklantern
Hi to any doctors. For 4 days now, when I have an erection in the morning, there is a sweling as if engorged at the base (underpart) of my penis in the area connecting almost the balls (bayag). The testes or bayag does not hurt. There is no discharge or secretion. This only happens when erect. Otherwise when not erect, there is no pain whatsoever and no swelling.Urination is normal. When i grip my penis like gripping a tennis racket or golf club or say a sword, the pain and swelling is located underneath the base where the pinky finger grips it (the thumb and pointy finger is near the head). When erected and i angle my penis upward as if to rest on my tummy and touch my belly button, , there is pain in the said area (base of penis almost connecting the yagbols). But if the penis is erect and not angled upward but the usual 90 degree angle to my body standing up, no pain in the said area. Any comments? Opinions? First time this happened. 4 days ago i also masturbated vigorously and myi pulled down my tight pants so that the lining of the pants' waist rested on that area (as if i was going to pee). But that's about it. I am in my early 40s and monogamous. Edited October 31, 2013 by blacklantern Quote Link to comment
