kempaf
I have great memories of the Love Bus. If i remember correctly 12 pesos will get you from greenbelt all the way to Escolta. Quote Link to comment
Leibstandarte
Calle San Sebastian Plaza Lawton in 1930s Ayala Avenue 1970s Rustan's former design is better than what we have now! The style (International Style) in which it was made was forward looking to the crap that stands now. Even Manila Pen's fountain area and its renovated lobby looks so out of place with the Pen's 80's contemporary style. Quote Link to comment
ganid
Whne the Love bus first came out in 1975, P1.50 from Cubao to either Ayala or Escolta. Regular bus from Cubao to Ayala was 30 centavos then. Quote Link to comment

knoll1234
when I was very very young my parents would pass by plaza libertad in quiapo, and I always got mesmerized by the people milling around each other and just plain talking and talking for hours about something I really did not understand at that time....politics.....and even now i don't.....nowadays plaza libertad is crowded with kibitzers and hawkers Quote Link to comment

i-rivere
The train post above was the usual route going to Antipolo for Holy Week pilgrimage or getaway during the pre war era. (advertisement of schedule of trips) (the famous Hinulugang Taktak falls popular for picnics and swimming - no need to go boracay or puerto galera back then) **(images courtesy of Paulo Alcazaren of BluPrin Mag) Edited July 28, 2011 by i-rivere Quote Link to comment
