You are buying half an Old car for a million bucks. Quote Link to comment
johnlove
If I was made to choose between a Civic & a Corolla between 1993 to 2000, I'll pick the Civic over other brands due to better engine performance, front double wishbone suspension, and a seating position that is closer to the middle of the car.Today, that question is difficult to answer. jaimecorleone
Civic! Better fuel consumption and suspension. Better driving performance. Maporma pa! Better than the Altis! :goatee: Quote Link to comment
boybahag
perfomance-wise? civic. as the saying goes. if you want to live longer don't ride a honda. especially a CIVIC! Quote Link to comment

m43l
I still have with me my 1st gen CRV orig paint and log at 64K kms pa very nice condition, Thanks Honda Cars QC for the care Quote Link to comment
X3ME15
i have an old honda civic lxi (forgot the year) but so far its good, like the handling, suspension is worn-out.. only ran 50-60k km... in terms of the coolness factor, i just to hand down honda as the better looking, the curves and design of the body never gets old. although spare parts, hands-down to toyota Quote Link to comment
dyodyo
1st gen crv timing chain ba or belt? panu ang maintenance nito? Mine is Chain.. Oil & Spark plugs lang.. Depends din sa paggamit mo.. Quote Link to comment
kamote_1
the CRV gen1 can take a banging.. got a 2nd hand unit 4yrs ago, it was fine when i sold it last year to buy a gen3, tune up change oil lang katapat.. the gen3 (2.0L) on the other hand.. suspension is weak, sira na kaagad mga shocks though honda replaced them without asking questions.. ayaw tumakbo at first.. as in ang bagal nya mag-accelerate!! my brother told me about the i-VTEC's learning curve.. it needs to be driven hard a few times for the engine to learn and adapt to your driving style.. after running it 180kmh on the highway a couple of times ok na sya.. i get decent acceleration but poor mileage.. shoulda gotten a diesel X3.. oh well.. Magaling
yeah, i had similar problems with my 2004 cr-v. it was like almost every other or every 2 months, something would break down. so, i sold the piece of s@%t last year. lately, Honda's Suck!! Big Time!! I still have an '03 gen 2 CRV which I bought brand new...So far, after 6+ years wala naman problema. Probably because I have it regularly checked and maintained only at the casa. The most expensive job it ever had was when I had the shock absorbers replaced. Otherwise, considering that it is my first Honda (otherwise, puro Mitsubishi ang mga ibang naging sasakyan ko), I am under the impression that Hondas are well-built. Baka swerte lang ako?
