Pano kung hindi mo alam na may HIV ka at nag donate ka ng dugo sa red cross? Malalaman ba nila? Nakakatakot kasi kung yun donor is hindi alam, magkakalat na ng infection, kasi questioner lang ang fill up sa red cross. Then if ever naman ma test nila na hiv positive yun dugo mo na nidonate, mag inform ba sila na positive ka?

They WILL do the screening test

  • Possible scenarios
    • Before donating, they will get you a blood sample and test for screening
      • If positive, they will inform you that you are rejected for donation and they will instruct you to go in the reference laboratory (San Lazaro Hospital for HIV) for a confirmatory test IF YOU ONLY WANT TO CONFIRM
    • After donating, they will get a sample from a blood-bag for screening test
      • If positive, they will reject the blood and they will label it as infectious.
      • They might not inform you or not unless you asked
    • If ever the blood is transfused with blood-borne disease (misidentified as negative) to other person because of error the person who did the test (depends on scenario) will be imprison , removal of license and certification and a large penalty

I know 2 people who have already died from AIDS. They died in that ever famous San Lazaro hospital from pneumonia (that's what's often declared anyway). So to everyone who sleeps around, be safe.

just so you know, a lot of pneumonia could be treated. iba lang talaga case kapag AIDS na. iba rin yung mismong cause ng pneumonia dahil may problem na sa immunity.

and please people stop "prescribing" medications. it will only create resistance in case kailanganin niyo yung antibiotics. mapapamahal lang kayo in the long run.

go to a doctor. use a made-up name. tell the truth (except for your name). have yourself tested. they won't ask for your ID.

They were diagnosed with HIV and it progressed to AIDS. They weren't declared to have died from AIDS of course, but pneumonia. Ganun din kadalasan ikinamamatay ng mga AIDS carriers - pneumonia. Their immune system is already weak due to AIDS but no hospital will say they died of AIDS.

yes ma'am. i just stated that pneumonia could be treated (normally). medyo pangit kasi tingin ng mga tao sa pneumonia even if madali naman i-treat. :)

they didn't say AIDS since it's not the cause of death. noone dies of AIDS.

and some consultants even opt to use atypical pneumonia instead of the usual pneumocystis para lang i-cover ng card. :)

EDIT: i just read my previous reply. sorry. i didn't mean to sound like a smart ass or something.:)

A few questions for the pros:

1. What are the chances of getting STD even if one is wearing a condom? Or up to what extent of protection could a rubber provide? Does wearing two condoms lessen the risks?

2. Is it true that you could get STD from a BBBJ?

3. What's the most effective way to know if a girl is infected with STD?

1. Condom does not Protect you from all STD's. There are some Fungal infections which can be transmitted to you even if you are wearing a condom. also if ang discharge ng girl ay umabot sa may pwet mo you can get a lot of things such as wartsetc.

2. Yes you can get STD from BBBJ such as herpes, fungal infections etc

3. You will never know unless ipatest mo siya. sometimes too late na mahawaan mo na si misis kaya mo alam na may STD ang girl.

Do not forget, Pubic lice/ Kuto, di kayang depensahan ng Condom.

You can now test HIV in minutes unlike before na two weeks. before you donate tinetest ka nila

2 weeks after 1st genital warts nya na maliit nagpavaccine n sya. Pano po iyan doc observe? Kc sbi sa net at youtube American doctors mawawala sya after 2 years?

Hi,

I went to Urology Center of Philippines for fear of having Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, or Syphilis. I experience pain when urinating. The doc said the tests are expensive and the most economical way to go is to just straight get the injection (P4,500) or take the oral antibiotics (Oflaxin for 7 days twice a day). He said testing can be inaccurate and also more expensive. He said Gonorrhea testing can be upwards of P11k.

But, I'm also worried about where I got it from. I'd like to inform my sexual partners if they have stds. Should I just take the meds and also tell my partners to take meds just in case? Or should I get checked just to know. (I actually had he Syphilis test and it was negative, but somehow the clinic didn't proceed with the Gonorrhea and Clamydia testing...)

Either way, I have pain when pissing and I don't feel well... mentally and physically.

tests are not that expensive any more. The reason why they tested you with Syphillis is because hindi ito gumagaling ng tuluyan. unlike gonorrhea and clymidia na pag gumaling ka na you are good.

aside from this you should have yourself tested sa diagnostic clinics (High precission etc) 850 php lang
