  1. hi all,

It's nice to know that I have a wealth of resource with my small concern....

Guys I need your opinion, I would like to purchase a 2nd hand car (Mitsu of course!) and my budget is only 120-130k (hopefully all in nothing to fix).

Wat kind of sedan could I get in this price range? Any reco? I really want to at least get a '95 GLI. (sana pasok)

    Thanks!

Pare, I agree with Alteclansing! In fact, I know of a black 1991 MPI Galant for sale. 130 asking ng owner. Ganda, loaded na! I visited the ELDorado branch in Cubao to buy some parts yesterday, saw the Galant parked there and learned that it was for sale!

I know ganda Galant, I had a GTi for 11 years before I changed it to the 8G that I now have.... yun ang pinakamatagal kong naalagaan and highly satisfied Galant to date!

  4. two of my rides are matic, two are manual... The last 3 years pa lang ako nagmamatic... parang ayaw ko ng bumalik sa manual... siguro it comes with age... hehehehe.... I am in my late 30s na kasi eh... Yung Galant VR ko naman kasi has the needed power when and where you wish it kaya I don't really miss the power derived from manual trannies.

  5. if you can, always put a full tank of gas everytime you make a trip to a gasoline station rather than loading gas bit by bit....

if your weekly gas consumption is 1400 pesos, load the 1400 of gas at one time rather than putting 200 pesos a day....especially on diesel...

i dont know if this make sense to anyone but based on my experience it lasts longer when i do it this way..

I think i can explain this...if you have a full tank of gas, then there's not much air in the fuel tank meaning, evaporation is limited thus fuel is saved, dba lesser fuel will have a greater surface area sa fuel tank therefore chances of evaporation is greater whereas a full tank will have lesser surface area therefore evaporation is less...I noticed na mas nakakatipid pag full tank parati, so half full palang nagkakarga na ako ng gas...im no Einstein so correct me if im wrong, this is just my hypothesis

I definitely agree on this... Notice how a softdrink bottle when open makes that hissing sound! This is the escape of the carbonated water as it has expanded inside the bottle. Our fuel tanks are pretty much the same. Less volume space for the fuel vapors to expand, the less it will. Notice also the sound of "pfffttt" everytime you open your tank. this is the fuel vapor escaping. The more often times you do this, the more you give a bigger volume of space for the fuel to vaporize inside your tank and again, as the cycle continues, the more it expands the more it vaporizes, the more it escapes everytime you open you gas tank to fill in a few liters worth.

As for the weight it carries, it is highly negligible compared to the vapor that escapes every time the gas cap is opened and the volume of space inside is loosened up. I have already read this in another forum and even two TV programs have suggested this, to have your gas tank filled by as much liquid fuel as possible. Yun lang po....

    Just my two cents worth.

  6. mga pre! any comment on 2007 mitsubishi strada gls sport 3.2 dsl 4x4 mt. i'm interested to buy? :thumbsupsmiley:

My elder Bro just bought one about 2 months ago... his comment is that it drives indeed like a powerful utility vehicle with all the power of an large SUV and all the comforts of the car. Super impressed siya. He bought it from AMCAR Sta. Rosa and is maintained now I believe by ELDorado for the parts.

  7. sino po nakaka alam kung ilan kilometer a liter ang tatakbuhin ng mitsu galant 2.0..year 1991? planning to buy 1.....baka kc malakas konsumo sa gas not worht it...tnx bro

    Pards,

I once drove a 1991 GTi DOHC. 6.5 K/Liter ang regular consumption ko... Funny kasi now I drive a 1999 Galant VR pero abot hanggang 8 K/liter on regular traffic and 11-12 in highway. This galant packs more power and bigger body pero mas matipid di hamak sa gas.... don't really know why, siguro dahil sa advancement talaga in fuel injection technology !

  8. Tnx for the info floppy. san ba yung el dorado sa aurora blvd ba yan?

    Sir Thrall,

Marami akong nakitang ELDorado eh. I think sa rotonda ng Pasay at EDSA meron din, malapit sa atco. Meron din ata sila sa mga mall eh... May nakita ako sa dalawang SM, sa Megamall at SMCity Bicutan meron din sila. And they have also sa Festival Mall of Filinvest Alabang. Pinakamadami atang branches yang eldorado eh. pero ako I know of their main branch sa Paco, that's where I get my parts from, sometimes also sa Bicutan SM since I live in the south area.
