  1. that's a NO NO...whoever told u that is crazy....you need 14000k - 20000k ....6400K is for fresh water aquariums...it's yellow and you will only get algae growth....corals anemones clams will die....they need the high bluer spectrum to be able to photosynthesize the zooanthellae within their cells to produce food. you can use the 6400k bulb but you must use another bulb (actinic bulb) for higher spectrum.....like the power compact flourescent bulbs....it comes in white and blue bulbs combination.

  2. yup ..i have two halide 150w @ 20K.....how much have i spent???? hehehhe i dont really want to think about it....but since you asked my gestimate is at least $10K in almost 4 years....maybe more..i dont want to really think about it. this tank started out at 20g and now it's 95g with 25 gallon sump....as far as the alkalinity and calcium....i use calcium blocks and dose with alkalinity and ph buffer powder mix. i had more fish die off than corals...sps and lps are growing. see the large clam ..i got that 3 yrs ago and that was a little smaller than the small one you see now. i gave away some pulsing xenias a month ago .....growing like weeds.

yes wolf ....i use a chiller for the tank if not my water temp would be like 88 degrees F

  3. also one thing that bugs me is why do high end watches have to use another watchmakers ebauche. it just makes a high end watch less pure....for example some of the Pateks using JLC ebauche???...that just makes a "PATEK NOT A PATEK" but something else. i cant respect that. im just picky.

vertu maybe you can explain further.

oh i forgot ......patek are old people watches and so are yellow gold and two tone watches...........hahahhahaa.

  4. hehehe i stirred up something here.....ok let me rephrase.....patek is not my style...it doesnt get me excited....as far as the nautilus...it is making a comeback....but i think it's ugly..i also think the AP royal oak is ugly too...both the royal oak and nautilus is trying way too hard in there design...the design is outdated.....royal oak, geez those ugly screws...reminds me of cartier santos..hehehhe.

as far as Raoul stated...im not familiar with Pateks....i know im not, cause im not a Patek design fan...i know they have great calibres.

im just a JLC kinda guy..."a watchmakers watchmaker"

vertu i know your'e a watch freak...anyone who have watch winder cabinets are...your'e not old im older than you by a little but maybe your taste for some timepieces are old. there's nothing wrong with that.

it's what floats your boat. as far as appreciating timepieces. i do appreciate and admire the complications but some designs just doesnt get me excited.

everyone's got there own taste. it's just like women ...but they are more expensive to collect and that's another story.

  5. Id go with the AP...edward piguet.......patek are excellent timepieces but it gives the impression of grandfather or old uncle to me. just my opinion. only Patek i like, if i ever purchase one is the gondolo 5111G in white gold.....yellow gold watches or two tones are...ummmm old people watches..that's just my opinion though.

  6. My sister bought a 2007 Lexus IS 350 in the US last week. How is the performance of your car so far ?

it's a fun car to drive 0-60 4.9 sec new info from car n driver...i didnt have any info about the car until one day i felt like buying a new car and test drove it about a month after it came out..i bought it that day hehhehe that's how much i was impressed by it....have 18,000 miles on it and by 20,000 miles i think im gonna need new tires....worth the buck....it's smooth easily goes over 100 miles/hr and it doesnt feel like your'e going that fast.....overall it's a good buy ...but i have my eyes on the IS-F V8 version that's coming out in '08....400hp compared to the IS350's 306 hp ..that should be fun. go check out www.clublexus.com

  7. stick shift is fun when you are young...but im getting old and lazy..hehehe ....so matic for me now.......i have no problems with my lexus IS350, its auto tranny is aggressive enough for me.......automatic transmissions are gettting better and better and manual tranny will be obsolete in the future.

  8. finally got a jaeger lecoultre master geographic (harmonized version)

Omega DeVille Rattrapante (black dial) is cool.

IWC fleiger spitfires are nice too. this would be my next purchase.

  9. rolex....good watch no doubt ..but very over rated and too many people have it...style is for old uncles and grandfathers....try jaeger lecoultre long rich history many patented movements....and it's a real watch not just a name!! if it's on your budget the "platinum minute repeater" or the "gyro tourbillon"....these watches blows rolex away as far as movement is concerned. just my opinion.

  10.

Tag series 2000 auto for rugged outdoor use

Tag Kirium for everyday casual use

Baume et Mercier Hampton Classice for semi formal

    Bvlgari Assioma Chrono for formal

Jaeger leCoultre Master Compressor Chrono....still deciding to buy....but more likely will in a month

Any Swiss Tourbillon piece........in my dreams
