  1. I've been both to Rosal and Orchids a couple of times. In fact, I was in Orchids last night with my girlfriend. Grabe, punuan kagabi good thing we didn't have to wait too long...mainit-init pa nga yung kama eh! :P

Rooms in Rosal seem cleaner and more decent than those of Orchids and being comparatively new, that doesn't really come as a surprise. This is not to say that Orchids isn't just as clean but being older than the two, you can readily feel the discrepancy. Whichever the case, you're assured of a comfortable stay in both places although rooms in Orchids seem to be slightly smaller than those of Rosal.

The rooms in Orchids offer a much more interesting experience owing to the mirrors surrounding the bed. But for concern that perhaps there might be cameras behind those mirrors (as I've heard some of these establishments have), my girlfriend and I have never really utilized them and kept the light off whenever we got the action going. At most, we keep the light in the bathroom on and leave a small crack in the door for some illumination.

Personnel at both places seem very discreet and never look you full in the face. Except for last night when the guy handed me my bill. I distinctly saw a mischievous glint in his eyes. I wonder if we can be heard outside our room. I wouldn't be surprised since you can't really close the window in the bathroom and my girlfriend and I can get very loud.

Food is excellent. Seriously, if you and go there to only eat, you've already gotten value for your money :P

I have yet to try the jacuzzi rooms though. But I will one of these days. Lagi kasing may tao e.

  2. Interesting lang...

    Aries: Guardian Angels

For every aspect or cycle of time, there is an Angel who guards and directs spiritual lessons or karmic events. Primarily related to a particular zone on the Astrological Calendar, these Angels have, over time, grown to also be associated with a certain Calendar Month. Thus, although there will be a specific Guardian Angel connected with each Sign of the Zodiac, there will be an additional Angel who aids in governing individuals who are born during the second month into which that Zodiac Sign falls. For example, Malahidael (also known as Machidiel) is the Angel of March and primarily rules the Sign of Aries. However, those Aries natives born in April will not only be influenced by Malahidael, but also by Asmodel who is the Angel of April. Although believed to be nonsexual in form, Angels are nonetheless traditionally perceived (for the most part) to be masculine in gender. Such reference has been followed here.

Aries subjects are primarily governed by Malahidael, also known as Machidiel, who is the Angel of March and whose name means "Fullness of God." Malahidael is associated with stamina and courage, cheering humankind during life's frozen moments. This Angel boosts morale and helps in the achievement of new landmarks, enabling an individual to break through whatever barrier might be holding back that individual...whether the barrier be a personal belief or a lack of self-confidence. Malahidael also provides enthusiasm, liveliness and an adventurous spirit, as well as assisting in contacting sweehearts. Often referred to as the "Angel of Courage," Malahidael's associated color is pale yellow and he is the secondary Guardian Angel of Pisces natives born during the month of March.

Aries subjects born in April also fall under the jurisdiction of Asmodel, who is the Angel of April. This Angel is the Spirit of Rebirth. Asmodel spurs individuals to test themselves in new directions and make themselves vulnerable in the presence of unfamiliar people and places. With this Angel's encouragement, humankind seeks out novel endeavors which will enrich life and bring new meaning to career and/or family roles. Asmodel teaches individuals to take delight in nature and those around them. This Angel also aids in providing patience, groundness, practicality and physical comfort. Formerly one of the Chiefs of the Order of Cherubim, Asmodel is now believed by some cultures to be a Demon of Punishment. Often referred to as the "Angel of Patience," Asmodel is counted among the ten evil Serifoth of the Cabala and is the primary Guardian Angel of Taurus natives.

    Aries Angel

"Do not search for us...we will find you.

Do not wait for us...we are here already.

Do not whisper your name...we know it well.

We have loved you forever, time will tell...

    We are your Guardian Angels."

    --Author Unknown--

  3. Unfortunately, yes. It is a sad, sad state of affairs that many of us consider leaving for abroad not as a last resort (as in other countries) but as a primary option. I remember hearing of a UP professor (or dean, I forget) telling his most recent crop of graduates, "Hindi namin kayo tinuruan para i-export!"

But sadly, this is where a lot of our brilliant country-men are headed because of the unstable political and economic situation, the insatiably corrupt government and the unfair practices in our own country. I remember reading an article in the opinion columns of the Philippine Daily Inquirer where the author (I believe it was former Justice Isagani Cruz, my apologies if I'm wrong) was relating his encounter with a Filipino chef abroad whose culinary creation the author was enjoying. Imagine his surprise when he learned that here in our own country, he could not aspire to be more than be the bodyguard of some member of the House of Representatives! As the columnist wrote, "What a waste of talent."

I was in the United States sometime ago and was seriously considering staying there for good. As fate would have it, I decided against such a move because I felt I couldn't leave everything I've known all my life just yet. So I decided to come back to the Philippines. Thing is, even while I was still in the airport, I was already thinking, "what the hell am I doing?"
