  1. direct hiring for an 18-month work in NY for Culinary Arts fresh graduates!!!!

I am helping a friend who needs 18 workers for a J-1 program, 18 months to work in a corporate air craft catering company out of NYC and Washington DC. My friend (who owns an HR company) will come anytime to Manila to interview applicants. He prefers graduates or 4th year students of a 4-year Culinary Arts course. He was in talks with Endirun College but the school was asking for a sizable kickback. So I offered to contact students directly. If you are interested (or know anyone who might be), please let me know and I will tell you further details.

    English proficiency is a must.

    Thank you.

    -Fredda

  2. i knew i was forgetting something .. The Clash ..demits

Gorillaz i think are better than Oasis and Coldplay

    I agree about THE CLASH~~~~

as for the poll. I go for RADIOHEAD na lng. pinakamagaling na sila sa tatlo.

when it comes to attitude the best ang OASIS/. yung ang rock n roll attitude na nawawala na sa 90's....wala namang outstanding sa mga albums nila. great songwriting though. kakabingi nga lng yung guitars.

but I like BLUR better than OASIS kasi mashadong seryoso at mayabang ang OASIS. at least BLUR U KNOW they're having fun~

COLDPLAY hmmm getting there. their albums are really good.

---hehehe, dami ko nalista. nacarried away ako. i told myself ill list only 5 pero parang unfair naman sa iba kaya sinama ko na... ^^

yan yung mga albums na EVERY SINGLE CHORD CHANGE AND LYRICS alam ko na dahil paulit ulit kong pinakinggan. siguro at least 1 month akong yan lng pinapakinggaN...

    honorable mention:

THE SHAPE OF JAZZ TO COME -ornette coleman

    KIND OF BLUE- Miles Davis

YOSHIMI BATTLES THE PINK ROBOTS the Flaming Lips

  4. wolfgang was great especially with the older albums

I go for Wolfgang because DARKNESS FELL and ANG NATUTULOG KONG MUNDO are perfect, masterfully-crafted, brilliant songs. isa lng album nila napakinggan ko, the first one, galeng. 2 songs lng yata dun ang di ko trip...

I also have a soft spot for RAZORBACK kasi 70's classic rock talaga ang tugtog nila and I heard they like my fave American rock n roll band THE BLACK CROWES. cool ang tugtugan nila. nong una, di ko masakyan. puro guitar masturbation lng yata at paulit-ulit na rhythms. nung tumagal, i began to appreciate them. madedetect mo yung mga great 70's classic rock bands na i think influences nila. malapit sa CLASSIC ROCK ang sounds nila with bluesy undertones kaya oks naman...

(thanks for the trivia/anecdote, dixiewhiskey. ^^)

  5. Heads up lang metalheads, nakakita ako ng kopya ng Reign in Blood tsaka South of Heaven sa Music One Greenbelt. Hah? Hindi niyo alam kung kaninong album yun? Classic albums yun ng SLAYER. Must have for any metalhead. Kung may tape kayo nun o piratang kopya, i-upgrade niyo na sa orig na CD. Mura lang, 550.

yay!!! fave ko ang mga albums na yan/....grabe ang drumming sa SOUTH OF HEAVEN!!! PARANG, WOW, IS THAT POSSIBLE???

tsaka I like Slayer kasi melodic sila, may 'soul' inside their technical wizardry. napakaikli ng album na REIGN IN BLOOD at maikli mga songs pero after that, it's like you've been clobbered ..but in a pleasant way.

pero pinaka-fave ko sa lahat yung album na UNDISPUTED ATTITUDE kasi dun pinaka lumabas yung harmonic sense nila.

cassette tape lng ako meron ng mga yan, ginagasgas ko ng sobra when I was in High School. you're right~ dapat makahanap na ng cd!!!

  6. off the top of my head, I'd say PINK FLOYD. kakapanood ko lng ng dvd ng BAND AID/LIVE B concert '85, they reunited for that performance. GRABE... mind blowing.... those guys are masters...

right now I'm listening to their ANIMALS album... this is great for guitarists out there....galing ng effects...walang wala sina Steve Vai kay David Gilmour...

locally, ofcourse, MARIA CAPRA and JUAN DELA CRUZ BAND~ sayang hindi ko naabutan yung time na yon.

and since I'm a product of the GRRRunge generation, sigurO YUNG SOUNDGARDEN at PearL JAM (from Ten-Vitalogy) magiging classics din twenty, thirty years from now.
