    First, I'd like to know how much it costs (the package) pero if the models are optional so I suppose, the cost of the package would depend on the models...then, if the only brand being offered is a Nokia...? I don't think my wife would settle for that. Gusto niya kasi yung Samsung. Anyway, thanks! :headsetsmiley:

    A car classified as a gadget? Hmm...? Does size have something to do with it? Teka...mahirap yata sagutin yung tanong. Consult ko lang wikipedia. Babalikan ko thread na ito...

     

    Ang arte ko naman at baka off-topic na ito. Pero mga bro and sis, i am just being technical about it, hoping to initiate understanding of the terms "conveyance" and "gadget". Dun sa mga maa-asar o mako-cornihan for whatever reason...my apologies. Heto yung simple research ko. Dalawang sources lang...

     

    1) Sabi ng Wikipedia... A gadget or gazza is a device that has a useful specific practical purpose and function. Gadgets tend to be more unusual or cleverly designed than normal technology. In some circles the distinction between a gadget and a gizmo is that a gizmo has moving parts, whereas a gadget need not have them. For example, a nifty digital watch would be a gadget, while an analog watch would be a gizmo.

     

    therefore: a car may be considered more as a gizmo than a gadget, if we were to force ourselves along that argument;

     

    2) Sabi naman ni Webster... "an often small mechanical or electronic device with a practical use but often thought of as a novelty"

     

    therefore: generally, a car may not be considered as a gadget because of its size

     

    Pero, siguro a matter of usage lang yan. Basta nagkakaintindihan. Sabi nga ni The Russian Mafia: “i think that is the same…”

     

    Anyway, I go along with Russian Mafia's thought: necessity ba o luxury? The answer is Both! So, subjective siya. Kc necessity for one may already be a luxury to another and vice-versa. Sa akin, it will always be a conveyance unless I win the LOTTO jackpot. O sa Deal? Or No deal? :D

    Nokia N70. Office-issued not bought. It sucks because it is relatively slow (booting and accessing the menu window from the default window) compared to most cell phones I have seen. But I like its camera. Oo nga pala, okay lang pala if it is slow kasi mabagal din ako mag-text hehehe. 'Tanda na eh!

    Thanks guys.

     

    Words are not enough to describe the gaming experience I get with this setup. Simply, I am immersed in the game itself unlike anytime before. Add to that games that are masterfully designed to exploit this technology. The result is truly amazing. I tried the factory set drivers but currently am using Nvidia's latest geforce beta drivers. No glitches so far but so much better performance.

     

    The FPshooters really showcase audio and visuals. Man, you can see sonic waves from fragmentation grenades, dust clouds after a barrage of gunfire hitting concrete walls in FEAR,shadows are TOO real and hamper vision, sparks flying everywhere ala your favorite action movie, the vividly drawn colors in Far Cry, etc. Far cry is most visually stunning to me. But unlike FEAR, Far Cry ambiance is less realistic. It'll be a some time before all these gets old. Oblivion is a hot game now but I haven't purchased it yet. Can't give feedback on that yet but am interested in getting this game. Haven't really been an RPG fan but I'm willing to try it.

     

    Can't wait for Windows Vista to be retailed. I initially tried XP Pro x64 but had too many errors so I switched back to the 32bit version. Maybe by then more developers would have re-designed their games for a 64 bit OS.

     

    Will wait for your post on your experience with Oblivion using your current rig should you decide to try an RPG category.

    I finally got my rig together yesterday. It has been a long time since I last assembled one (1999), and my PC's after that were outright bundled purchases. So I was a bit lost at the start.

     

    Here are the essentials:

     

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core 4200+

    MSI K8N Diamond plus w/ Nforce 4 SLI x16

    MSI SLI-Geforce 7900GT 256 MB

    2GB DDR PC400

    2 WD Caviar SE 16 - 250GB each 300MB/s 16MB cache 7200rpm in SATA-RAID 0

    Asus DVD-RAM/ROM drive and burner

    Creative X-Fi Platinum soundcard

    Logitech Z-5450 5.1 speakers

    Sennheiser PC-160 headset

    Samsung 215tw 21" widescreen LCD

    Cool Master Centurion ATX Mid tower case

    Xion 600w SLI power supply

    Logitech wireless keyboard and wireless optical mouse

     

    F.E.A.R. looks awesome at maxed out settings with 99% frame rates above 35, maximum frames at 85. Native resolution is 1680x1050. Same performance with Far Cry.

     

    DVD playback is excellent and with THX surround.

     

    Plus I hooked up my HDTV cable box to the monitor too.

     

    I think i need a bigger monitor, but 21" will do for now. Besides it's only me who uses this. The rest of my family goes to the living room. Suddenly I feel like a kid with a new toy! :D

     

    I can still hold my breath, Bro! Galing rig mo!!! Have you tried Elder Scrolls: Oblivion yet? Feedback naman; although they say F.E.A.R. requires higher specs than Oblivion...Thanks!

    What's Your Video Card?

    Eversince I used nVidia GPUs eh nde nako nag-switch sa ibang brands kahit pa sabihing, ATI Radeon runs the game like ur part of it. nVidia lang ako, pre. I only have the 5500 256-bit series with video out. It plays all the Elder Scrolls games superbly except the latest, Oblivion (runs like ur in thick mud kc nde pa ako naka-upgrade nung procesor at memory ko eh). Hrmmph, I gotta buy even just the 6600GT series + upgrade of procesor (AMD ako all my life).

     

    What's your video card? Not sure? Check your BIOS.

     

    Anyways, for all those hardcore gamers out there able to play Doom III, BF 2, HL2, Quake 4, FEAR, etc. show what drive your graphics.

     

    I used to have a Radeon 9800XT, but I had so much friggin problem with that hard ware (heat sinks sucks and the fan was too damn noisy = overheats after 4 hours of gametime = just when I'm getting warmed up)

     

    So I bought this one, nVidia GeForce 6600GT that kicks major ass, but I'm thinking of upgrading to nVidia GeForce 6800GT in the near future. Anyways, if you are interested in purchasing it PM me (the price stands at $ 160, minus shipping) and we could make arrangements.

     

    I might just hold on to it till I can afford a 6800GT without selling my old one...

    Is it true that women only have sex when they have feelings for the guy?

     

    Purely MYTH! The least, a generalization...

     

    Like men, women also find ways and means to satisfy their egotistical desires embedded in us all (humans). Shopping is one of their most trivial way. In our case, we buy the latest gadgetry our hands (and money) can lay on. But let us not misunderstand that they are inferior to the male specie. Each sex has its better qualities as much as every individual has a special talent or skill inherent and most probably unique.

     

    However, I am inclined to say that women may perform better sex with "love" as an ingredient. Unlike men who, by and large, can do it with "flare" with any female they so choose.

    When I studied in Australia, I had a chance to drink a number of types (you call that varietals?) Anyway, I liked cabernet-sauvignon with roasted rib eye and some mashed potatoes. Now, since I left Australia, I never had a chance to drink wine on a regular basis...too expensive for my pocket. For champagne, my choice is white and I just drink what I can afford (about php200.00/bottle max)... I like white better than red because I think it's lighter to the tummy plus it tickles my mouth better than red.
