  1. Okay, you are speeding to the hospital because your wife is bleeding to death. Should you have to pull over, provide proof of license, ownership and insurance just blocks from the hospital?

Your sister is getting beaten badly by her drunk boyfreind all of the time. One day, after he had too many, he comes home and smacks her around, rapes and sodomizes her, then demands that she go to the market to get him some food. She gets some rice and fish...tosses in some rat poison and the sorry assh*le dies at the table. Should she be on death row?

I've got plenty more...discretion is key in LE and Judicial proceedings.

  2. This one is for a friend who just reminded me of a problem he has...poor bastard...

Any woman who is married and gets knocked up by another guy should have to support the baby on her own...no lying to hubby or extorting the guy who planted the seed. I know of at least two guys this happened to since I moved here. It takes two to tango.

  3. A law that will "insure that all laws will be implemented to the letter". :hypocritesmiley:

There are thousands of these. The problem is with the justice system, not the laws. Think about the idiots who think that Erap should be immediately pardoned. The law states otherwise, but there are plenty of online law degree holders here apparently.

But, for the sake of argument, if every law is obeyed to the letter, there would be no more street protests or rallies without proper permits. Thousands could be rounded up for seditious acts and even more would be ready for the needle.

Discretion is the reason we have judges, because some laws aren't able to be implimented to the letter. Say a man beats his wife, rapes her when she doesn't want to put out and then berates her in front of the neighbors. He does this a few times and immediately after one beating, while he is sleeping off his drunk, she takes a bolo to his skull. Should she be on death row for that act? She killed a sleeping man and the law clearly states that homicide is a death penalty offense (not that the moratorium matters).

A better law for proposal...cameras on street corners and intersections for traffic offenses. The fines generated would supplement the education program. Eventually, people will stop driving like assholes or as if they are on shabu.

  4. Okay...this is easy:

    1) Fat chicks and lolas should not be allowed to wear lycra exercise outfits at the gym.

Penalty: Their photo should be taken and pasted on the front door of the place. Maybe then, they won't run off to

the Park Nike store and drop a bunch of cash on the new outfit just to compete with the girls who can work out in an

old rice bag and look hot.

    2) Guys who don't work out should not be allowed to enter the Speedo store, let alone buy a banana hammock and

parade around Bora, Mactan, Bohol and Palawan. Yes, many are ex-pats, no exceptions.

    3) If you make a big deal about going to Mass on Sunday morning, listen to the words being spoken. Driving like a

demon as you leave the church, just so that you can get to the buffet at Saisaki or Daddys is not part of the

    Christian ethos.

    4) Pay police officers a fair salary. Maybe they won't have to moonlight to buy a sidearm or food for their kids.

Better yet, they won't have to shake you down so that they can afford lunch or merienda.

    5) If you voted for Trillanes, you should have to contribute to his defense fund-taxpayers shouldn;t ahve to deal with

that nonsense. If you voted for or still support Erap, you should have to do the same. For those who voted for Ping,

start saving, your time will come as well.

    Peace

  5. Okay, I'll admit that I'm not the one to say that the RP's Constitution seems a bit f#&ked up, but there it is. I was reading the Star today and one of the editorialist (I think his last name was Sison) had a peice about the fact that Sex Ed can't really be taught here because there is a Constitutional provision that negates it. After I did the proverbial head shake and WTF?, I read the rest of the piece. Apparently, there is a clause somewhere that says that formal education is secondary to the teachings of parents and guardians. Attempts to institute a formal sex ed class country wide was met with contempt at the thought of wasting tax money on something that must be taught at home. (Right, Mom and Dad have nine kids...they are definetky the ones Junior should be listening to.) Many private schools skirt the issue under the pretext of religion or provide abooklet for Mom and Dad to share with the spawn. That must be a comfortable dinner chat.

Seriously, who can shed some light on this mystifying use of legalese? If this is true, is there a more important reason to rewrite the Constitution? We already have more mouths than we can feed and abuse the land with consumables and waste for the nearly ninety million who call this beautiful land home. Condoms are not the answer if Junior doesn't know what it's for.

  6. EMERGENCY SUBSIDY TO PRIVATE SCHOOLS

Private schools are going out of business. Public schools, in the meantime, are bursting at the seams. What gives? The middle class simply can't afford to send their kids to private schools anymore.

QUICK FIX: Subsidize private schools via tax breaks to enable them to lower tuition fees. That may sound unfair and elitist at first glance, but if you really examine it, this will also benefit the "original" public school students by decongesting public schools.

LONG-TERM SOLUTION: Build more classrooms. Send the bill to those "PRO-LIFE" advocates who says we are not overpopulated. Seriously, let the local municipalities shoulder part of the cost. Makati has done it. And Mayor SB of QC, has been doing it lately.

I like your thinking but many private schools now have waiting lists - ISM, Brent, British, Japanese, Deutsch and Euro all have waiting lists for some classes. These schools are opening new or expanded campuses and grabbing students from many of the smaller Catholic schools. Lest we think that these are all ex-pat havens, the majority of the graduating classes are Filipino at several of these schools. Many politicos have their children attending these schools because the resources are simply better.

There is a reason why they are called 'private schools'...you have to restrict entry to those who can meet the standards and afford the cost. While it may seem unfair that the average Filipino can't afford to send their child to Ateneo or ISM, that is life. In the U.S., not everyone is accepted at private learning institutions - poor or rich. I attended private Catholic grammar and high school and college. It cost a fortune and I had to work to earn the way. Even in high school, I was required to work for the school each summer to pay for my 'scholarship'. Maybe we should make a few of these 'scholarships' available to some deserved young students. Growing up in Tondo rather than Ayala Alabang shouldn't doom one to poor education.

Spending tax money on the privilege of a better education is a misuse of public funds. Improve the public schools first, that is what tax money shoudl be earmarked for. A private education is about choice and opportunity. Neither the Bible nor the Constitution says that life is about equity and fairness. We strive for it, but I won't reward the guy who sits on his ass in his squatter home simply because his daughter shows exceptional aptitude. He needs to set the example not the other way around.

  7. I just thought of two that are very near and dear to my heart.

    1) Provide the funding to arm your patrolmen and women with sidearms and ammunition that aren't a joke.

    2) Legislation that allows for the construction of solar and wind power for electrical service. A 48,000 P Meralco bill for May is f#&king outrageous. Stop making excuses and harness what the good Lord has given the RP plenty of - solar and wind resources.

    Can I get an 'Amen'?

  8. In Australia, voting is mandatory. You have no right to complain since you used your voting privilege. Too many people bitch and moan here, but when you ask who they voted for, they say that they aren't even registered.

Vote buying will still occur, but if everyone of legal age has to vote, it will take more than a machine to move elections.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It may be time to put some teeth into the driving laws and penalties. Instead of a 500 peso fine, make it 5,000. Do you really think that your fellow driver will drive like an assh*le if he loses half a month's wages? Cameras on the corners and in police cars would also be a nice touch. My old cruiser automatically put the camera on whenver we lit someone up. Instant proof and an unmitigated way to stamp out corruption - if the guy doesn;t have his lights on, you don't pull over.

Finally, ambulances need cameras too. When the lights go on and they are trying to get someone to a hospital - GET THE f#&k OUT OF THE WAY! They won't put their lights on for quicker passage or shabu deliveries if they are being recorded and time stamped.

    What say you?

  9. It was written before...enforcing the laws is much more important than making new ones. That said, WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE OBEY THE f#&king TRAFFIC LAWS. Just because you want to turn left, doesn't mean that you can do it from the far right lane and screw up everyone else! If I see another bus stop in the middle of a highway to collect or deposit riders I'm gong to have to start carrying a box of nails for their tires. Finally, traffic enforcers that don't know what they are doing or are too busy texting only compound the ire of those of us who actually need to get somewhere. Contain the traffic issues and things will get better.

  10. The most brutal Exit Lines?

Okay, the doctor says he can see you tomorrow. The sores won't appear for a few days, but if you get on antibiotics now...

    Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

    wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

  11. Unforgettable ways to leave her:

    1) "Okay, so how much do you normally get paid for that."

    2) "I can't believe I finally got to be with a woman. My boyfriend says that I never would after him."

    3) "Yep, that's what herpes looks like."

    4) "If you lost about twenty more pounds, I'd probably have more fun."

    5) "God, that was awful. Was this your first time?"

    6) "You are way better than your mom/sister/best friend."

    7) "Look, I'm really a secret agent and I'll have to k*ll you unless I leave."

    8) "Did you have a sex change?"

    9) "Look, I gotta get back to jail. They only let me out for work release."

    10) I'm usually only attracted to hot, young chicks with great bodies. But you make me think that it's really not that important."

    Finally...

You pay for the f#&king room. I don't have a peso to my name.

  12. I've taken two fubus to the Victoria SoGo in Las Pinas. There was no extra charge - only a really jealous grin from the attendant who checked us in. He could only imagine what kind of fun was ahead for this big white guy and his two lovely pinays. Rent a nice room - it's worth it and your partner will appreciate a clean, hot shower or soak in the jacuzzi.

  13. I'm mystified about this topic. How does anyone 'belong' to another? You are certainly free to keep looking for the next Mr. or Ms. Right. Even married folks move on when the magic isn't there. Life is too short to settle for less than your heart needs and your body desires. It may be true that we covet what we don't have, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't go about making ourselves happy. Love is not lust, but saying that you belong to someone is not love either.
