  1. Buhay pa ba yung Magnolia Ice Cream house sa Aurora Blvd? Paborito naming puntahan ito ng Misis ko nun.

It's now a Nestle Ice Cream House...

But a Magnolia Ice Cream House opened right in front of it on Aurora :thumbsupsmiley:

    My contri:

    Munchees

    Magnolia Ice Cream Sandwich

    Choco Vim

Coney Island New York, New York

    Slush Puppies

    Icee

Fiesta Pizza (though I think there is still one in Isetann Cubao)

    Sunkist juice (in triangle packs)

    Royco noodle soup

    Arby's Roast Beef

    pot-pot breads

  2. Hoagies (i.e. submarine sandwiches) are my thing.

    Slice open a soft bagguete.

Spread some butter on one side and mustard on the other.

Then load it with cold cuts (salami, bologna, ham sausage, etc.).

Add a layer of sliced cheese.

Top it with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, dill pickles, or anything else you fancy.

Drizzle it with some olive oil and sprinkle some black pepper, place the top half of the bread and start biting.

Or you can just get one at Subway

    I also like the Elvis.

Whole wheat bread spread with peanut butter and jelly with crisp bacon.

Grill the sandwich in a pan with butter and enjoy with a glass of milk...or bourbon if you want it the way Elvis took it

As a side note: spreading butter (or any spread for that matter) is crucial to a sandwich to seal the bread so the liquids from the other ingredients don't seep out to much :thumbsupsmiley:

I also enjoy the sandwiches at Jip-An and Almon Marina.

In a pinch the sandwiches of Dunkin Donuts and Country Style Donuts work for me :thumbsupsmiley:

  3. tried rosal for the first time last week and its really ok. P325 for the 1st 3 hours and the room is just like a small hotel sa mga provincial cities. bang for the buck talaga. i paid P2,160 (regular rate is P2,700 at VC for a 5 hour themed room). i might try as well rosal's penthouse or the one with jacuzzi.

we usually do it sa hotels but my fling has never been into a motel so we tried it sa VC and rosal for her motel experience and it was her first time too at westin phil plaza, new world hotel and edsa shang

    Sorry slightly OT.

Dude you can also try the Sogo chain.

Yun nga lang you and your girl have to walk in (unlike a motel garage room so no one really sees you).

But the rates are pretty good and they have a lifetime discount card of 20%! :thumbsupsmiley:

So for three hours I pay just a little over 300 bucks.

The room is quite nice (and clean) actually so its one of the other places I frequent.

As for hotels I recommend you try CEO Suites in Makati (along Jupiter).

Terrific rooms like something out of an old classic romance movie.

    Great rates also.

Plus they have a mini theater which you can reserve to cuddle up with your girl and share popcorn :

But it looks like I have to try Rosal soon...

Hehehe can anyone tell me if they have great tasting sinigang? :thumbsupsmiley:   :hypocritesmiley:

  4. My girl (she insists) and I always end up in Country Lodge.

Not for anything but she loves the sinigang na hipon there.

It's what we always order without fail (plus one other new thing we decide on).

Hehehe so whenever she says "sinigang tayo" I know what that means.

And it's priced quite reasonably as I spend about 800 bucks for 5 hours inclusive of the food.

But the time with my girl...priceless :D
