I think a good NLE bay in conjuction with a very creative editor would produce the best results. I mentioned NLE bay and not the application itself which one may have the luxury of using. Because no matter what, be it Ulead, Premiere Pro, Vegas, FCP, Avid or even a Quantel. As long the hardware doesn't jive with the system as a whole, even a very seasoned editor won't be doing anything for a while ... sometimes these things happen once in a while.

Although it may sound like a very good complement that a Segment Producer especially in a Network environment, would not sit beside a good editor after he or she had left certain instructions along with the shot-listed script. It is done most out of necessity, overlapping of a certain shoot and eventual build-up of confidence and trust towards the quality of work done by the editor itself. Never the less it is still the task of the Segment Producer to accompany the editor when editing a VTR, just imagine how would a PUM react if he or she knew his or her Segment Producers were acting that way towards their editors.

Also in most cases if something goes wrong it is usually the poor editor who gets the blame, nothing beats teamwork, two sets of eyes are better than one when looking for revisions and even processors these days work in pairs too ...

Hmmm ... Consumer type editing applications ...

If you would ask me, I-movie for Apple systems is okey and the lastest Windows Movie Maker from Windows are good choices for novice users. Both rely on firewire ports to transfer video signals to your deskstop, that is if your using a firewire enabled videocam which is usually the rage these days.

that is correct. they will recompute your annual income tax and exemptions, and in effect the succeeding months will see a drop in your withholding tax.

I inquired about my tax exemption and the possible refund ... but here in our office apparently they don't honor rebates or refunds ... what they would be doing is to offset my my succeeding tax deductions ... is this right ???

Yes ... I would say both also ... but like all things both movies and books have their own unique appeal on their own. Although it is when a book is turned into a movie that the whole equation begins to change, because fans of certain books or even comics cannot instantly become fans of the movie adaptation ... especially if producers have more weight in interpreting the book

firstly what is your occupation? that in itself determines what tax bracket you fall under...

 

secondly, what are your expenses in the pursuit of your occupation? this determines what are considered tax deductible items and as such would help lower the tax base subject to the 15% tax rate as you have said...

The pay seems good ... but honestly after reading and sometimes hearing stuff from friends sometimes it ain't that much. But I think if your starting out ... its worth a try, although some people are really cut for the job ohers are not so lucky ...

i understand the concept of privielege granted by law which is always subject to limitation by government, maybe because of its police power or in this case power to tax...

 

but my question is of practical application...wouldn't the forward crediting lead to a point wherein a) the basis of quarterly input VAT is of differing basis that the forward crediting would lead to an absurd conclusion that one cannot credit anymore because all of the forward credit has eaten up the 100% vat credit?

 

foir example for Q1, since the input exceeds the output tax by let's say 40%, then the allowed creditable would be 70%, hence the forward credit would be 70% of the previous, which effectively eats up the allowable 100% creditable VAT in Q2...

Question lang po ... is there a way that I can file for a lower deduction on my taxes. At present I'm being deducted 15% from my salary, similar to what is being deducted to those earning professional fees eg. doctors - movie stars
