As an ulam, super sa Manila Plaza in Batha, Riyadh. I am from Jeddah but whenever I visit our Riyadh branch, I make a point to take my dinner at Mongolian Barbecue where they serve the best ever Sisig in a sizzling plate topped by uncooked fresh egg. :thumbsupsmiley:

I am based outside the country and am scheduled to return to the Philippines for good by December. My plan is to pursue my long time dream of becoming a really successful businessman but not to the detriment of my family’s welfare. Problem, though, is lack of information, market research or feasibility study as to what sort of activity can sustain my family’s needs: 2 college kids (UST) and the high cost of living. Trading, manufacturing but not those that are service-oriented. Oh my, am I in a big dilemma. Please help!

Those shawarma stalls in Harisson Plaza..
Yipeee!!! Tried that before (am from Salama District).... really good! :thumbsupsmiley:
That from Corniche Center along the main road isn't as good as before. :thumbsdownsmiley: I wonder if they have changed their recipe (secret one as in KFC).
Try one from Shawarmatec and that from Shami... they are not too oily. Just enough to keep your lips moist! But not too much, you'll end up running to the toilet... ooops ...talking from personal experience! :boo:

I am planning to retire from working abroad come December and having very serious considerations of putting up a small business in the Philippines preferably in North-Western part of Laguna or Southern part of Metro Manila or Baguio City.
Problem is dunno what sort of business to get into. I’d like something that I will have active participation in its day to day operation. Capitalization: PHP1.5M or thereabouts.
Would appreciate any suggestions. Will really help me if statistics or business indicators are provided e.g. ROI, average monthly revenue, margins, cash flow…

I am into key rings (or to some people, key chains). I make it a point to buy one wherever I go to or pass by. As my office colleagues learned about this hobby, they also contributed to my collection:
Personal purchase are those from Chicago, Atlanta, Dayton, London, Amsterdam, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bali, Jeddah, Baguio…
Gifts from friends came from Johannesburg, Cairo, Bangkok, Dublin…
Metal, Wood, Plastic, Marble, Glass, Leather…
Whew…better stop now!!! It is my passion:heart:

I have tried the shawarma at Araneta and found it a bit bland. Same thing at Town Center in Alabang - a concoction (fusion) of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Filipino spices.
I still prefer what we enjoy here in Jeddah prepared by Lebanese men. However, they tend to be too oily but I guess that’s what make me salivate. I prefer chicken over beef or mutton glazed with a little hot sauce....sluuuurppp!!!

 My purpose in life changes from time to time, place to place…
It depends on the circumstances surrounding me…
At the moment, it is to provide a good reasonable lifestyle for my family e.g., best education possible for the children, excellent living conditions.
Long term, to be able help others improve their lives as well.

Most of my watches are citizen - Eco-Drive with sapphire glass for casual activities; Titanium Chronograph for office wear and red-lavander-maroon Telemeter Chronograph for fashionable look.
What I consider a good investment is my Concord Saratoga embeded with eight teeny weeny tiny pieces of diamonds and blue sapphire knob.
But how I wish I can still buy another Citizen used for aviation. They really look cool!!!
