Agree specially now that most Rolex stores (Washington and Lucerne) have the Submariners out of stock. Need to leave your name and number to contact you when a new one becomes available that's why ang taas ng price surges sa re-sale and second hand market. Worth it naman daw according to my watch maker (of course he will say that)...haaysss.

Got a Rolex Submariner 1993 model na aluminum bezel pa. It's older than me and was able to wear it diving with my wearable watch na rated for diving din. After 200meters underwater nasira yung wearable and buhay si Rolex Submariner Cal 16610...lols

Pix are the the submariner with a Glycine Airman (Just bought).

If you ask me, Rolex watches are overated as other swiss or even non-swiss models that are newer can fit the bill. 

Has anyone visited Gnomon watches? I found a lot of swiss watches there na worth it naman. Ended with a Glycine Combat Sub and a Steinberg na mukhang submariner.

Fireman or Engineer? For me underated ang Ball kasi Tritium daw fades after 12.5 yrs pero sa submariner ko Tritium din ang markers pero di na nakikita sa dilim ang hands kalumaan na rin siguro. Parang mas ok si Ball.

But personally I prefer my Submariners. Medyo magastos lang pag maintain ng mga Subs pero tumatagal naman. 37 years old na yung 2 na ito.

Recently had my Rolex Submariner 1998 model repaired in Fairmart last week. Need pala ito laging suot and if not, nasisira ang loob. Need to have it detailed and oiled otherwise inacurate na ang takbo ng mga 2 seconds. Pumunta ako sa Rolex Service Center na official in Ayala pero June pa ako bibigyan ng slot for the repair so I remembered dito sa site na may gumagawa ng Rolex sa Fairmart and hinanap ko. Buti nalang nakita ko mga tanders na watchmakers doon at nagawa naman si Submariner. Mahal nga lang kasi Rolex daw...lols. Bonus napaayos ko din ang strap ng Tag Heuer  ko ng free of charge sa kanila. Dying art na yata ang watch collecting/detailing/repair now pati automatic swiss watches nung na uso sina smartwatch. Mga tao now looks at their phones for the time and I myself now wear smartwatches dahil sa functionality.

Along the area naalala ko pa ang Phoenix and Eustacia Inn na mga hotels na may aquarium pero extinct na kasama ng Palasyo Don Pedro and others sa Makati area. Sana wag ma extinct mga old school watchmakers that can repair automatic swiss watches that costs less than the official service centers.

Medyo nalaos na yung mga watches with the advent of wearables. My first activity tracker was a fitbit, then a garmin tapos Huawei GT2 na. It seems mas practical na mag wearble kasi multifuinction na may HR monitor and syncs to your smart phone. Si Tag Heuer sumunod na sa smartwatch bandwagon with their connect line.

My first DMs lasted me 12 yrs then I gave them away to a construction worker who still use them now. My second DM is the 101 6 eyelet shoe that I wear sa office. Tip lang is to use mink oil to prevent the leather from cracking which was the issue of my first pair since Kiwi gamit ko, nag crack leather over time so had to give them away sa construction worker.

Well if type mo mga super shoes na may carbon fiber na pang running na mura, nakaka spot ako ng orig dito sa ukay sa Baguio ng mga Nike Alphafly, Hoka Carbon X, Adidas adios pro na used Pero original naman. If Jordans naman naka spot din ako sa session road na ukay. If brand new supershoes go to Runnr.ph doon naman ako if brand new na Carbon shoe hanap ko.
