  1. Revisited Baguio and oh boy, how do I start updating my list?

    1. Cafe by the Ruins--I still love this place. Pero the Eurotel beside it drwarfed it down. I mean, we're all for good, cheap motels but the sight is just depressing. Nagmukhang entrance ng Eurotel yung Ruins. Awful. I love the salad of mushroom and tomatoes, shrimp curry platter served with chapati, lumpiang sariwa, mountain rice, bagnet, coffee, iced tea which is brewed and served with syrup, desserts! Everything here is served fresh, and the indigenous ambiance is relaxing.

    2. Forest House---Officially the best, fanciest, coziest Baguio restaurant I've been to. We've had fresh salad which comes with three dips (one is strawberry), pumpkin soup in a bread bowl which is perfect to counter the Baguio cold, quesadilla, more bagnet (I like the one in Ruins better), cream dory in white sauce, pork roast, lovely desserts. By reservation, since the place is small but sooooooo pretty; it looks like wooden bed-and-breakfast cabin. Mahal. Check out the prices in their website. For me, if you want to make a good impression, you take your date here. It's almost a guarantee of a perfect night that would extend until the next morning.

    3. Woodnymph Korean restaurant--We tried the one in SM Baguio. The food is tempered for the Filipino palate but if you want something different go here. I like the seafood and beef dishes. The owner is cute, too. :P

    4. Cottage Gi's--Also in SM Baguio. They have a mishmash of food: dessert, entree, kakanin, sandwiches, beer, pulutan. They have another branch, a panaderia-cafe near Caltex Legarda which I prefer over the mall branch. I like having breakfast there, it's an open air place. Nothing fancy, just good pandesal and coffee, or longganisang huband and sinangag. Buy some ube rolls for takeout.

    5. Kubong Sawali--For big groups, Filipino dining. A lot of inihaw, serves beer.

    6. Cafe Picarre--Pasta, pastries, coffee.

    7. Sybling's Nook--Another place which serves food, coffee, drinks. I like the nachos; the coffee, not so good.

    8. Sizzling Plate--I don't know if it's just the weather, but the sizzling items from here tasted better for me than those served in SM in Manila. :P

you are missing out Good Taste, behind center mall

  2. i need help here regarding the format and how to execute an affidavit of 2 disinterested persons as required by SSS for the claim of my father-in-laws (deceased) benefits.

here's a summary of facts, my father-in-law (deceased) died sept of 2007, so a yr ago, him already a widower at that time since my mom-in-law passed away 7 years ago. Accdg to SSS, if claimant's wife is alive, she is the legal heir to claim, but since the wife is already dead, next to claim can be the parents of my father-in-law, which again, are already dead likewise.

So the children, who is my wife and his bro are the one's claiming it, but SSS requires such affidavit.

Does anyone here have a format of such? 2nd, does the 2 disinterested person whom shall sign in the affidavit need to be as old as the grandparents of my wife? kelangan ba kilala nila personally yung grandparents? coz SSS wants also the death cert and marriage cert of the grandparents, NSO doesnt have records because of such, thus we cant provide any docs to SSS.

  3. i agree to have an EENT specialist check up as best suggested, i had an EENT doctor look through me during one of my check ups for an ear problem, so he proceeded to check my nose and throat, he asked if do snore, told him that my wife and kids tell me i snore during sleep. the doctor told me that i have a thick tongue against the normal tongue thickness, he was suggesting a laser operation to lessen the thickness, i am too scared actually and its expensive
