Those gizmos have gotten better. I had one some years back and found that I couldn't keep a really good seal for more than a day at the most. Then I discovered that I would finish off a bottle typically the next day anyway, and that if i wanted to go an extra day or two I could stick the bottle in the fridge and be just fine. So I tossed the damned thing and just use the cork/fridge method and have had absolutely no problems.

I love your answer to preserving left over wine, its just like my brother's solution. Drink more! Don't leave anything, so why bother preserving. :thumbsupsmiley:

Just visited this thread and i should say that I can relate talaga and I am willing to share with you my story..

 

Nagsimula ang lahat sa isang massage parlor..first time ko tlga dito sa massage parlor na ito and it was really one hell of an experience!!! worth my money tlga. Naging habit na ren na magpunta ako dito sa mga lugar na to and have tried different women na ren..until i met Ms. H..(di tunay na pangalan). She was very pretty and very accommodating..madaling kausap saka makuwento ren. She's ilongga so very malimbing. I frequently visit her na tlga cuz she's one hell of a girl. Very sexy, pretty lahat na pare!!!great in bed and makes me cum to her mouth.. she'll do everything to please me...On the third visit ko nagpropose ako sa kanya and then naging kami na..We go out pag wala cyang work but we never make out sa labas. Well that was just for 3 weeks cguro pero kinukuha ko ren cya sa work nya. Imagine I spend going out with her and pag kinukuha ko sya sa massage parlor. Kahit ganun sila tao pa ren sila..pero sana kung tlgang mahal nyo ang isa't-isa...you have to set boundaries then..iba yung work sa personal life. di pwedeng sabay kasi magsusuffer kayong dalawa. dapat alam ng guy and girl yun. it's all about sacrifice and commitment....

I guess everything has a price. Because the charge is reasonable, the rooms are generally clean, you have to sacrifice being seen by other folks while checking in, worse lining up for a room.

I found that the other thread I was supposed to post the photos may be inappropriate for that thread. I'll post the photos here instead.

Senor Hitman531ph, great recon for our fellow members wanting to use a QC hotel. Heaven only knows we need a five star hotel in Quezon City but do not have any (so this will do).

The room you featured looks exactly, if not the same room, I checked in (including window orientation).

Just remembering who I was with, makes me want to come back. :boo:

After scrounging around the QC area for a semi-decent hotel (it however does mean I'm going to do anything decent inside it), I'd say the Great Eastern Hotel is the best deal. As earlier stated, the new West Wing with its eight floor lobby is an excellent place to bring your special inamorata. Rooms are fairly new, clean and cheaper than Century Imperial (which to my mind is overpriced) and it is walking distance to Max, McDo and places in the National Bookstore area in case you find the food wanting.

If you want to bring your legit partner it is also fairly decent enough to bring them there since there is no short time. It pales in comparison with most 5 star hotels, but what the hey, its ok enough and priced appropriately.

Dude, sorry don't know. Nung pumunta ako, pumarada ako sa Gateway I guess you can ask front desk, I'm sure they have parking for overnight users. Pero kung sandali ka lang advise ko sa Gateway ka nalang pumarada, hindi pa buking.

For you folks wanting some action (bring your own nga lang) near the Gateway area, I'll recommend Eurotel. I believe its owned or at least operated by the Sogo group.

Its around 400 bucks for around 3 or 4 hours if my memory serves me right. 1,800++ if you stay for 24 hours (common room).

Amenities are Ok, its clean(New Towels, Toothbrush, Combs, Soap and Shampoo), has cable and porno channels.

Downside is, the building is like a giant jail, you can enter and leave only through one door that they guard so well. Good news is chances are you wont get mugged inside. The bad news is, God forbid there be a fire, you might get roasted.

Overall, highly recommended.

My favorite shawarma place?

Behrouz near Timog and Scout Tobias. I 've been a patron for twenty years back when all their customers were middle eastern students and Behrouz'es son who now manages the place was six years old.

The place is still value for money, good shawarma (actually something they really did not serve at the beginning), great tikka (tenderloin in skewers), Kebab (burgerlike meat in Skewers), Humus (chick pea spread) and Muttabal (eggplant spread).

I personally love brains and kibda (liver), while I wash it down with yougurt shakes or a 7 up (they serve Pepsi products).

My favorite pizza can be found in Napoli in the Timog-Tomas Morato Rotunda (Imperial Suites Building). A great amount of ingredients, at a good price. Try their New England's best. You won't regret it, its the closest one can get to a boutique New York Pizza.
