  1. Is the Ceasar salad at Mario's still good? The best Mario's CS I've had was the one they made from scratch right by the table. That was a long time ago. Anyone know if Mario's Kitchen CS tastes the same as the original?

ANother good one was the one in Minggoy's- before the advent of the offshoots like Uno Mas, etc. They also served good oysters in white wine and deep fried oysters. They source their oysters from Roxas city, and have a branch at the Roxas City airport.

Here's a review of Mario's Kitchen CS. Read about it on this page:

  2. There's a new hole-in-the-wall resto in Benavides names Zhen Hu. Masarap yung kiampong nila parang machang. Their soups are good though on the slightly salty side for me. I usually order kiampong and a soup - about 85 bucks. Though one time I added stir-fried clams - tasty. It's a chinese turo-turo owned probably by a "bagong saltang" mainlander. Just across the street from wai ying.

  3. Scrapyard sa may angono malapit sa LTO. famous dito yung mga minalot (not binalot). parang style Binalot.

minalot? di kaya ngo-ngo sila? jok lang, peace!

may bago akong nakainan. U know wai ying in masangkay? well just cross to the other side of the street and walk a few meters. you'll find a new chinese turo-turo named "zen" something. it's rather small and always full at lunchtime. try their kiampong - parang machang ang dating sarap. masarap din yung mga soup nila and ulam. if you cant understand chinese, just *point-point*

  4. Re:  Big bowl Masangkay

This was one of my favorite restos around 10 years ago.  But when they opened a branch at QC, the quality went downhill, so did the service time.  Starting then, I stopped going there.  Imagine, having to wait an hour for food.  Thanks but no thanks.

Don't eat there if you're alone and just on an hour's lunch break. A simple order of beef hofan takes ages. The waitresses are slow and orders need to be followed-up. Even the owners - the man and probably his mother - at the desk don't care even if they see you staring at empty space for about 20 minutes.
