Mga Bossing.. meron pa bang meron pa bang PCI Video card sa inyo?? (note: not PCI-E Video Card)

I have to upgrade some of my aging computers here...

Specs:

Pentium III 598 MHz

256 SDRAM

Branded sya... Dell PowerEdge 1300 at PCI lang ang slots nya..

Since branded sya, very much in good condition pa sya!! (after 7 years) gusto ko lang i-upgrade ang video nya to run some games.

Can you please tell me kung meron pang makukuhang PCI Video dyan.. (at least 32MB ok lang) and how much is the price?

mga bossing, i'm planning to buy a printer w/ scanner & copier na. 3 in 1 na.

question:

1. saan ako makakabili dito na reasonable ang price? (brand new)

2. tama ba ang personal choice ko sa brand, HP?

3. nasa magkano ang price nito? (for personal use lang to, not for business)

you can not upgrade it to p4 unless you will change your mobo. :grr:

 

there are stil some pci based vidoe cards out there. :cool:

but you really have to search for those.

better video cards are hard to find but it's cheap. :thumbsupsmiley:

 

first, try searching in well known hardware vendors. 

not lucky, then try those second hand hardware stores.

(like the one in mandaluyong.sa maysilo circle halos katapat ng city hall.)

1. Yes...but you have to replace the motherboard and possibly your RAM in order to do it. Maybe even your power supply...pentium 4s suck A LOT of POWER...

2. Yes...although it's quite hard to get them here in the Philippines...you need to be extremely patient in searching different shops that may or may not be within a single location...

1. so parang bumili na rin cguro ako ng bagong computer. mas nakakatipid kaya ako on upgrade than buying a new computer? (my pc is still in excellent condition, i guess video card na lang ang i-upgrade ko)

1. can i upgrade it to Pentium 4 or higher?

2. meron pa bang mabibili na mataas pa na PCI video card? (i'm just using 32 mb S3 Savage Pro --- i want faster video card, so i can install new games) kung meron pa, saan po kaya mabibili ito?

another option is that, try usring trend micro online antivirus remover, works for me then after scan, try to increase the security level of your computer when connected to the internet.

actually it's still your choice on what to use, IE will be there same as the newly installed firefox.

ayoko munang buksan, yung IE browser ko... baka bumalik yung dating problema.

Internet explorer is still in the system once firefox is installed, they are different browser you can you use them at the same time also.

i installed firefox as soon i read this message... i thought my IE browser will be discarded.

i am using Mozilla Firefox browser now! i'm still experimenting with the buttons, but i guess it's ok, coz i'm not seeing pop up ads now.

I find that internet explorer is soooooooo vulnerable to adware and spyware; kahit na everyday ka mag-system scan nandyan pa rin yan.

 

Id recommend that you use Mozilla FireFox na lang. 

 

Na-inlove ako sa feature sa Firefox ay yung anti-popup and multi-tab browsing.

 

Just download and install firefox and set it as your default internet browser when prompted (usually after installation).

I have a problem with my computer.

yung browser (internet explorer) po keeps on opening! (without me opening it) wlang tigil ang bukas ng internet explorer, napupuno sya ng IE Windows hanggang sa mag hang sya! :thumbsdownsmiley:

spyware ba ito? or virus? i tried the online scan (BitDefender) madami syang spyware na na detect, then ni-delete ko... but after few days, andoon ulit. (same problem)

my OS is Windows 98. Help me please.
