  1. Gayweather will fight for peanuts. How the hell can he raise the money to pay Uncle Sam for back taxes now? Pacquiao can fight can fight a house cat and a bunch of dwarfs and people will still pay money for PPV.

  2. 1. Billy Ray Bates - the Black Superman. A legitimate NBA star playing in the NBA. He was once annointed as the savior of the Portland Trailblazers franchise.

    2. Bobby Parks - Mr. 100% personified. Despite his glowing records in the PBA, his greatest contirbution to Philippine basketball may actually be his son and NBA prospect Bobby Ray Parks who could spearhead the Philippines' drive for a slot in the 2012 or 2016 Olympics.

    3. Norman Black - the Old Black Magic. One of the most consistent performers in the league.

    4. Sean Chambers - arguably the best all-around import under six feet to ever play in the PBA.

    5. Cyruss Mann - the man in the middle for the PBA's first Grand Slam Team - the Crispa Redmanizers.

    6. Michael Hackett - Once held the record for most points and most rebounds in a game.

    7. Rob Williams - Another NBA star in the PBA. A collegiate All-American at the University of Houston (teamates with Akeem Olajuwon) and a first round draft choice of the Denver Nuggets. Could literally shoot from anywhere in the court. Almost led the original Tanduay franchise to the PBA's thried Grand Slam in 1985.

    8. Tony "THE HURRICANE" Harris - will crowd the Black Superman for the title of the most electrifying scorer in PBA history. Can score in every way imaginable. Holds the PBA record for most points in a game.

    9. Michael Young - Another member of the fabled University of Houston's Phi Slamma Jamma. A big shooter with unlimited range. Another NBA first round draft pick (that '82 Cougars team would have its entire starting line-up drafted, 4 in the 1st round and one int the 2nd round).

    10. Andy Fields - Toyota's big man in the mioddle during the classic Crispa - Toyota wars during the PBA's early days.

  3. Mayweather the clown has not shown Manny any respect and for that he should be punished. And I'm not saying that Pacman kills him in the ring. Maywaeather needs this fight like air as he is being hounded by Uncle Sam for unpaid taxes. Manny can retire now with the legacy of the GOAT intact, the record seven titles and the billions in the bank. Leave Mayweather gasping for air. Sure the money is great but he doesn't need it anyway. If he wants more money, he can have two more fights that can easily replace the money that he should have earned in the Mayweather fight. I say go after an eighth title in his eighth different weight class. Yuri Foreman (WBA titleholder) looks ripe for the picking. He's a bit raw, not too tough and does not have a KO punch (8 KO's in 28fights). He is very tall though at 5'11. But so was De La Hoya and look where that got him. IIBF champ Corey Spinks is a bit smaller at 5'9" and does not also pack to much of a punch (11 KO's in 37 fights) but may a bit more wilier than Foreman. Regardless of who he fights, people will pay money to watch him. He could fight a freaking midget, a cat and a baboon on HBO and it will still probably make 200,000 buys. So forget Floyd JOY Mayweather. Let him rot in his misery.

  4. The PBA's reason for being is to generate income from paying fans. It is a business to run a team in the PBA. If a PBA player can attack the hand that indirectly feeds him without expecting any retribution, then the whole premise of the PBA's very reason of existence is in shambles.

Unless the PBA becomes an inter-corporate league between SMC, the MPIC teams with guest teams Alaska, Sta. Lucia, and Coca-Cola.

Arboleda is a thug. He was always a thug and will always remain a thug. He plays with the intent to hurt and get away with it. In the game vs. Smart Gilas, he was putting extra mustard on his hits. He wasn't there to hurt, he was there to maim. If the PBA allows their players to k*ll one another without doing anything then that's call. But once a player starts attacking fans then that's another story.

Arboleda should be banned by the PBA. For life. Banned from playing, banned form being involved with anything has something to do witht he league. Is fair? Probably not. But that attack on a fan who paid to watch the games was far from fair either, regardles of the provocation. Want to bet that Arboleda will serve jail time if the fan pusrsues to file a criminal case?

Amidst all the should have's and justifications being forwarded by every Tom, Dick and Harry, one fact remains clear: Arboleda attacked a fan. He was seen by millions hitting a helpless man. He was seen hitting him over and over again. This is an easy case to prosecute. Phusical injuries at the very least.

  5. La Salle will have the upperhand. Most of their key players are in the PBL and are still in playing form. Both teams are playing without key players but La Salle has more talent to shuttle around to make up for Atkins and Revilla while Chris Tiu is irreplaceable. Good luck to both teams.

  6. Problem with this though is you wouldn't be able to practice law in the Philippines:-)

I think puwede kang mag practice sa Philippines. As long as Filipino citizen ka pa rin. I just don't know the exact procedure to go about it but basically you have to enroll in a Philippine Law school to take the courses offered for fourth year law then petition the Supreme Court of the Philippines to be allowed to take the bar exams. I know one guy who went through this process.
