  1. RIP, Sir. For what it's worth I heavily criticized you during your term. I deemed that it was my right as a tax paying citizen of this country to call out your admin's faults and ask for accountability.

But with your successors parang ibang usapan na.

The trio of Jose, Wally & Paolo do not portray gays, rather they play the role of the titular character's grandmothers. Yung tatlong lola, may ampon na 4th sister, yun ang biological grandmother ni Yaya dub.

Hello Sir, while waiting for my scale models,

take a look at my 1:1 scale Jagdpanther

Oh man! If I had the money I'd travel to the US or Europe to see these panzers! Great photo sir! These Jagdpanthers are so baddass!

Rustan's former design is better than what we have now! The style (International Style) in which it was made was forward looking to the crap that stands now. Even Manila Pen's fountain area and its renovated lobby looks so out of place with the Pen's 80's contemporary style.

  5. Any of you guys tried playing Seymore Butts? I actually had Seymore Butts 2 and it was very fun to play. It was like a pre programmed live action porn but you get to chose the outcome if you are gonna get laid or not.

I think the last time I played that game was way back in 1997!

  6. So that's the reason why! I've been to the last 2 gunshows and parts and mags for the Glock are so hard to come by. They said Glock Austria does not intend to sell to the Philippines anymore. We get to suffer because of the actions of a few bad eggs! Hay naku!

story i heard was a shipload of Glocks were caught being smuggled into another country and that the serial numbers were traced to RP Glock distributors..so Glock banned commercial sales to RP.....something like that..wala kwento lang...
  7. Angelino's Pizza & Pasta. Dati in the 90's, you'd see them everywhere. From Megamall, Quezon Ave., Galleria, Katipunan, Jupiter etc they even have one in Tagaytay! Hay, miss that joint, I loved the Fetuccine ala Burannela! Woah, brings back fond memories of college and when I used to bring my dates there!

Will they ever open up again or are our taste buds too sophisticated to try Angelino's once more? Either get authentic with Balducci, L' opera or Cantinetta or go mass produced ala Greenwich and the like? hmmmm....

  8. Letters From Iwo Jima.

I saw it again last week. Makes you realize that no one benefits from war. You lose your sanity, a friend, a loved one, your conscience and your innocence. I felt so sorry for the Japanese who had to (or were obliged) commit "seppuku" or ritual suicide when they are faced with imminent defeat. It was a very unnecessary waste of manpower. The Japanese were very brave but they could've fought more effectively with better tactics than shock their enemies with the suicidal banzai charges. Very costly indeed!

True, the fil portrayed them justly, they were honorable and brave men. But as with a Hollywood production, they came from the "other side" and probably the mainstream audience cannot still comprehend that the Japanese, even during WW2 were human.

  9. I want to hurt Geoff Eigenmann. Sorry po Aling Gina pero yung anak ninyo e walang ka-talent talent. To add, bulol pa.

Nanjan din si Jericho Rosales. Dude, tama na. Move on. Talk to Heart, not to Boy Abunda. Obvious naman na publicity stunt ito para sa inyong dalawa. Reality check Jericho: WALA KA NANG CAREER. WALA NA RING CAREER SI HEART. You are making things too complicated.

Siyempre si Willie saka si Owen (yung manyakis niyang sidekick) dapat magulpi hanggang magmumog ng ngipin tung dalawang to.

I think I've posted 3x here already and its still going to be Willie Revillame! That duck sucks! I bet he sucks Lopez's ass real good that's why he has this staying power in ABS!

A good second would be Cristy Fermin. Damn FUGLY bitch!

  10. 1/35 AFV modeller primarily. WWII and modern tanks, also softskins. Currently working on Zvezda T-26 Russian tankette and Panzer I, it feels like doing 1/72 aircraft.

Zvezda. I never brought an AFV kit from that brand yet. Probably my subconscious is still recoiling from the memory when I got their Russian WW2 infantry set way back in the 90's, damn, they were so crappy! Spent my whole time cleaning seam lines and the fit of equipment was horrible! Reminded me when I got my 1st ESCI kit of SS troops! Awful, I was a teenager that time but I knew then that it was bigger than 1/35 scale, actually it might be bigger than 1/32! :thumbsdownsmiley:

Sorry for the rant, my kits are mainly Tamiya then dominated by DML. I've been contemplating on getting a Trumpeter kit. Reviews from Missing Lynx, Armorama and PMMS are quite okay, might try their KV series.

  11. hi doc and to all!

dropped by to check out the thread again. I feel pretty lost because most of you guys are into aircraft modelling, ako na lang yata ang gumagawa ng 1/35 scale WW2 armour dito ah!

I like the thing "bermuda triangle", just like the carpet monster of armour modellers! any armour modellers out there?

  12. In my good friend's wedding they had the song "Runaway" played at the Recessional. The song was played by a quintet (Bernie Pasamba) and the rendition was very nice. It was a perfect song to cap-off the wedding ceremony, I have to admit that upon hearing the song it turned on the romantic in me.

The choice of songs in his wedding were good and complemented to the overall solemnity of the wedding. It was done in Santuario de San Antonio and his selection blended well to the atmosphere and theme.

  13. i miss those days also kaso bihira na ngaun mga metal heads... hip hop and RnB na ngaun tsaka ung mga hardcore and Punk... gaya gaya naman ^_^

I agree with you on that. I dont knoe, but maybe it must come with the age. I'm having heavy metal nostalgia!!! hehehehe!

  14. I remembered attending the Metallica concert in March 1993. It was held at the ULTRA baseball area. Boy, it was an experience I will never forget. I was 17 at that time, spending summer vacation as a freshman of Arch in UST. When I went there the road leading there was so crowded. Vehicles and pedestrians crammed Meralco Avenue from Shaw to the street going down St. Paul's. I also saw lots of people. People of all colors, sizes, backgrounds (coños and jologs) where there. Old and young, everyone seemed to want to see Metallica perform live.

From the long lines people where singing Metallica songs like "Sad But True" and "Enter Sandman". Honestly, I think they looked stupid. I was and still am a Metallica purist. I've loved their albums from k*ll 'em All up to And Justice for All. From the "black" album onwards, they, in my book, sucked big time. Sorry for the side note, but that was to give a background for my comment. It seems most of the people seeing the concert knew Metallica by their then newest album the "black" album which I really disliked. They never knew the thrash metal the band was so notoriously good at.

To cut the story short, I got seated in the mid-section priced at PHP750.00 and was seated at the back of the band The Dawn. They where with their dates! The front act was opened by Advent Call, they were booed because of being so arrogant on stage. They did Sex Pistol's Anarchy in the UK. The second act was Razorback, woah they knew how to rock. The audience went wild when they did JDC's Beep Beep!

After their number Metallica was introduced, the audience even got wilder! No one was able to sit during the whole show, the audience were pumped up! You'd think everyone was on drugs! It was at the concert that the claim that Metallica never missed a beat or they sound the same as you listened to their albums during live performances are true! Hanep sa galing! :thumbsupsmiley:

I loved it when they played Phantom Lord, Seek & Destroy, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Creeping Death, Master of Puppets, One, Harvester of Sorrow and Battery! I guess I loved all the songs they played! Ibang level sila nun, and their performance was not short of profanities either. :thumbsupsmiley:

Sa sobra ganda ng show nagwala mga jologs sa bleachers and they tried entering the lower boxes nag upakan tuloy mga security. Overall, it was the best concert I attended. It also for me was Metallica's last act of being heavy. Years and albums went on and they lost their touch. Nawala ang thrash, ni heavy I would not consider it. If I could bring back time, I'd love to be in that concert again! Peace!!!

  15. My belated reply, I too like the genre of heavy metal. My favorites are MetallicA (pre 1992), Megadeth (before Mustaine became a born-again Christian), Black Sabbath, Led zeppelin and of course Danzig.

I did enjoy the grunge scene. I liked Soundgarden (Superunknown onwards sucked), Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and Temple of the Dog! Missed those days!

  16. Maximo V. Soliven.

Manong Max is the last of his kind. The last of his generation of media men. He resume is very, very impressive. Covering numerous conflicts and internnational developments, meeting monarchy and different heads of state, he was a giant in his own right! His style of writing is very informative, poignant and greatly entertaining, if I may borrow the other poster's words: kilometric. Long it may be but it did not lack substance, reading his writings made you feel you were in the thick of it all! His grasp of history was very commendable, his mind is sharp and his tongue acerbic!

His opinions are what I highly regard. They are fair, balanced, moderate and always practical. He is not into sensationalism nor does he resort to shock value, name calling or engage in mud slinging. He veers away from the popular line of thought and somehow the opinions which he expresses are those being shared by the majority of the people. I favor him over Conrado de Quiros (you suck big time girl!!!), MLQ III and others. Iba si Manong Max, he is above his contemporaries!

    Manong Max, vaya con Dios.

  17. One other thing. Whenever I read the warning in the box of a model kit like 'ten years or older' I used to think this referred to the age of the one who would build the kit. Now I realize that this refers to the time it would take me to build and complete the kit.

Haha! You hit the nail right smack in the head with that!!! :D

  18. Hi guys, I'm not into modelling but my 7 year old son is really interested with german tanks, panzers, stugs etc... probably because of playing battlefield 1942. He's never been a brat or asked for anything but when we passed by a model shop in virra mall he literally went bonkers when he saw the model tanks, planes and ships. I asked the lady there to get us a couple of tanks,a scenery set and infantry models and all that we need to build them so she added glue and paint. (had to return the infantry because I din't know that models could be that expensive) We went home and opened one tank box and read the instructions. It seemed pretty straightforward but after a while I noticed that most of the parts had to be glued as opposed to being snap on. I had to stop there because I knew that I was just going to mess everything up, I have difficulty assembling even his Zoids. Are there any models that are kid friendly perhaps those that have large parts? I've been looking for some whenever I pass by a model shop but I've yet to see something that looks easy enough to build. Or should I give up and buy a pre-built one instead? Thanks for any info.

Hello there! I think if your son likes modelling panzers you should get him Tamiya models. They are in my experience the best engineered and easiest to assemble. They also have the simplest of instruction sheets that even the most novice of modellers would have no trouble following. May I suggest that you get him the Sdkfz 222 armoured car or the Panzerkampwagen II (they come with four Afrika Korps troopers and a tank crewman! )to start with.

Also, please be careful with handling of cutting tools, your son could get hurt. It would be best you are at his side for the duration of his kit building. You make me reminisce when my dad first introduced me to modelling when i was 6! :) built our first PT boat 1/72 scale! am sure it would be a great bonding experience for you and your son because you'd be doing models for the first time. you may even get hooked to it!

good luck and give us updates!
