just went there a couple of weeks ago and the ribs were hard and overdone. hope it doesnt happen again. fridays and saturdays are seafood nights. the oysters go well with the cocktail sauce, the rock lobsters with the wasabi dip and the shrimp with the vinegar dip.
i experienced that, too. it usually happens when there are a lot of people, and they run out of the good prime rib. the last one they bring out is the one that's dry and nowhere near as tender.
and yes, those oysters go very well with the cocktail sauce.

warcraft III. i want to get started on Doom III, but my PC lacks the hardware to make it run decently.

peking garden. love the duck.

i need to get drunk. going to some place with cheap cold beer.

i've always been partial to hotel buffets. so far, nielsen's at the manila pen has the best roast prime rib i've tasted, and their buffet selections change depending on the day. i always make it a point to go when it is seafood-themed.. all the shrimp, crab claws, rock lobster and fresh oysters you can eat.
but for those who aren't willing to splurge, there's always chinatown's best along banaue.

does oxbrain shawarma count?

chicharon laman from lapid's.

the best fast food burger for me is wendy's. among the big burger joints, i'd go for Wham (katipunan and shangri-la mall) and Hotshots.
there's a newly opened resto on tomas morato called JBJ. have yet to try it.

steak. there can be no other.

congo grill has probably got to be the best for me. it is a combination of crispy and creamy (they use mayo). gerry's and dencios are tied for second.

zuchinni's
gulliver's
- i take them rare to medium-rare...anything less bloody is an utter waste of prime beef
ahhhh.. rare to medium rare. juicy. and gulliver's has my vote. i just wish they'd char the meat a bit by putting it on a grill.

i've been looking for a replacement for tender bob's, since the branch in libis closed some months ago. haven't been that successful.
another frequent haunt of mine also got torn down. san francisco steakhouse disappeared after developers in the greenhills area decided to put up new buildings. i hope the restaurant will rise again from the rubble. steak jack just doesn't cut it.
