  1. Tim Duncan and the Spurs could have been 6-0 in the finals if Ray Allen missed this three point shot.

Did you see the yellow ropes at the back of Ray Allen? They were intended to hold off the crowd rushing into the court to celebrate with the Spurs winning the NBA crown. TMac and Gary Neal were doing a high five not far from this scene. TMac jinxed his team (again). Remember him celebrating early with Orlando Magic?

  2. Spurs updates:

Front office wants to trade either DeMarr or Lamarcus to GSW in exchange for the #2 pick. The #11 pick and protected draft picks for 2022 and 2023 will also go to GSW. I think GSW will prefer Derozan and his expiring contract over Aldridge but the Spurs don't have much leverage in this proposed trade.

Another trade will involve champs Danny Green and Kyle Kuzma of Lakers in exchange for Los Angeles native Derozan.

BTW, TD just quit as Assistant Coach of the Spurs

  3. Spurs will pick #11 in the 2020 NBA draft. This is the highest pick ever since the #1 pick Tim Duncan in 1997. Usually, Spurs pick last but still end up with good players like Tony Parker #29, Manu Ginobili #52, Kyle Anderson #30, Derrick White #29, Dejounte Murray #29, Corey Joseph #29 (Team Canada), George Hill #26, Tiago Splitter #28 and Beno Udrih #30.

The only aberration was last years draft when the Spurs got to pick #18 (Lonnie Walker), #19 (Luka Samanic) and #29 (Keldon Johnson) when they barely made the playoffs. It is a youth movement for San Antonio in the next few years which is part of the rebuilding strategy.

  4. Officially the longest playoff streak in the NBA. 22 seasons and 4 months breaking the 76's record of 22 seasons. Yup I am just emphasizing that in terms of time frame, Spurs broke the record.

See you next season! Go Spurs Go!

  5. Spurs are 3 wins and 2 losses in the NBA resumption. Two losses were winnable. Loss to Nuggets was disappointing as Jamal Murray and Will Barton were still in the injured list (Yup I know LaMarcus and Trey were out too).

Most deflating was the loss to the Sixers. Mistakes and foul trouble gave the lackadaisical Sixers domination in the paint. Free throw missed by D. White was a heartbreaker in that game. Big game by Derozan and Gay was wasted. the Shake Milton 3 still gives me a headache when I wake up.

Next game tomorrow against the rejuvenated New Orleans Pelicans will be a must win for the Spurs. They got some help from the Clippers (with Kawhi injured) winning over Dame's Blazers who missed two big free-throws in the end game.

If the Spurs get to the 9th spot, they get to do a play-in with either the Grizzlies or the Blazers. If they do get in the playoffs as the 8th seed, Spurs lose the 11th pick in the 2021 draft as the standings (for draft purposes) were frozen last March.

  6. Spurs need to win against the Kings, the Pelicans and twice against the Jazz to secure a play in duel with twice to beat Memphis Grizzlies. Only Portland voted against the resumption of the NBA because of the sentiments of Dames. It looks like Lillard has changed his mind and welcomes Nurkic back to the roster. The Spurs without Aldridge and Derozan in Disneyland will be one of the first to be eliminated. They need to be within 4 games behind the 8th seed for the right to a play in.

  7. Spurs buyout DeMarre Carroll and reabsorbed by the Rockets. To get him, we had to lose Davis Bertrans who is now shooting lights out for Washington. This is one of those rare blunders of the Spurs organization. Carroll was a perfect 3-and-D role player for the Hawks breakout year under Coach Bud. Atlanta was known then as Spurs East and reached the Eastern Conference Finals without a superstar player. Of course, we all know that their season ended after Matthew Dellavedova twisted the leg of Kyle Korver.

I don't think it is chemistry since Carroll played with some of the Spurs players when they were not yet Spurs. I just hope the Spurs get a high draft pick in a very shallow draft pool next year

  8. State of the Spurs.

Based on the standing, Spurs only two games behind GSW, Pels, Nuggets and the Blazers. It is still too early to tell but the best NBA team last year Houston Rockets is not dead last in the standings. OKC just got their first win last week.

Positives: Double D (Demar DeRozan) is leading the Spurs in scoring and assists (yes he is now the best passer on this team)

Rudy Gay is still healthy and reliable as a starter or coming of the bench. He has three double doubles in the last six games

Negatives: Point guard is the weakest position with the departure of Tony Parker, the ACL injury of Dejounte Murray and the ankle sprain on Derrick White. Patty Mills comes of the bench best and does not have a reliable shot. Bryn Forbes starts as the point and is averaging double figures but is a liability of defense. He is an average defender but a big drop from all NBA defensive team of Dejounte.

Another is the team defense. The first 4 games put the spurs as the worst defensive team (#30). After the last 2 games, it is now #26.

Weird notes: Popovich is adjusting to the strengths of Demar and LaMarcus midrange game. They tried to do some triangle offense which worked half the time. They were also trying to capitalize on the shooting of Forbes and hiding the limited offense of Dante Cunningham. Both are on the weak side of the offense as spot up shooters just in case Adridge or DeRozan sucks the defense in the paint.

Overall assessment: Spurs will make the playoffs as an 8th seed. The reason is some playoff bound hopefuls will see a dramatic drop such as the imploion of the Timberwolves and the inexperience of the Lakers despite having Lebron

  9. Madami therapist are licensed professionals. All of them are on the rebound after a harsh break up. Of course madami guys are aware of this and unlikely to hook up with them unless they just want a quick lay. I observed these fake theras are above 30 but still looks yummy. Being in a spa or MP is a way of seeking vendetta or a security blanket that they can still draw a mans attention. I know. Stupid love. To them forgetting the hurt is taking on a total stranger without fear of falling again. After a month or two, they realize the stupidity and tries to put the prostitution prologue behind her. Teen heartbreak will push girls to slut around. Middle aged women professionals will do much worse
