tama ka pre, bayaan mo sila dun, we don't need them here either

  3. It's not those who grew up abroad (such as yourself)  who really get on our nerves, but those who grew up in the Philippines then come back and act like they own the world, just because they've become US citizens (or British or whatever).  "Walang ganyan sa States!"  That sort of thing.  Some spend several years abroad and come back with an American or British accent.  Hell.  The current California governer has been living in the US for so long, but he still speaks the way he did decades ago.

i quite disagree with the accent thingy there, maybe it's because this is the first thing you would notice, but really, when you speak abroad, you really have to change your accent lest they wouldnt understand you.

but inherently, they are still the same person kahit ano mang accent yan, ,,, kung magbago man ang tingin nila sa pinas

at sa pinoy, and begin to look down at people here when they get back, then they are inherently still that one dumb, white *ss lick'n sons of their mothers who didn't bring them up properly kind of person

  4. question:

how do we really define the 80s?

who are those who really belong to the 80s or made the 80s?

i know 80s na 80s ako dahil i can relate to practically everything written here pero

am just curious as to who really belong in this era

kumbaga if you were in high school at anytime 84-89 do you think these are the peak 80's people?

i would suppose these would be people 29 - 36 years old today.

exception lang siguro yung mga kabataan na may mga older bro and sis, like my cousin who is only 20 years old, he has a strong understanding of the 80s culture dahil kapatid nya and most of his cousins are from the 80s

  5. In Order of Preference:

    1. Bite Club in Katipunan - total value for money!

    2. Aristocrat hamburger - super juicy!

    3. Tropical Hut - i rediscovered their burgers just a year ago, masarap pala,

    4. Carl's - BK - fastfood flambroiled

    5. Champ

Brother's will be somewhere between 2 and 3 while BM satifsfies a totally niche craving for me, especially when i'm on a budget:)

  6. Hmm, I was lucky enough to get sent to Europe for work a few years a go and I must say that, based on my experience, it is better to go on a guided tour first.  And then to have a couple of days by yourself.

I tried to do it by myself, swinging over to Paris from Amsterdam and then on to Belgium before going back to Rotterdam.

First off, I got robbed on the overnight train to Paris.  Then, upon getting to Paris, I was again mugged by a beggar.  Beggars over there look like they go to the gym regularly!

Also, it was a bit difficult to get the hang of the Transit system.  Although, to be fair, once you get the hang of it and know how to navigate the signs, it is a piece of cake.

I also almost got mugged on the Transit system.

Anyway, my point is that, first you go an a guided tour to get your bearings for the new city.  And then you stricke out on your own.

could europe be worse than the philippines? my dad and i got robbed in barcelona, then you won't believe the number of those gypsy kids in Pisa, better make sure you use that money belt wisely or you certainly won't be travelling to europe on a budget

  7. just went to the doctor after my chol level has been steadily moving up the past months - 225 in august, 240 in nov even after semi-controlled diet. and 1x basketball per week,

nagpacheck uli ako last week 213 na lang after i started 2x basket per week nung january, not much change sa diet - meron pa ring occasional sisig, liempo, crab etc, mahirap na ang buhay ka nga di ka naman makakain ng masarap na pagkain. btw, BMI ko is 25 so average lang.

prescription ng doctor: the usual diet (malamang di ko sundin) and exercise and C-lium fiber,

check up uli daw sa june, tignan natin kung effective.

  8. tama yung more water in your diet- this really worked for me,
