  1. Arsenal still on top of the table... Nakakatense lalo na at ManU is giving them a good race...

Did anyone see the the Tottenham - Reading match during game week 20? It was a good game with the 'Spurs winning 6-4.

  2. remember nasa Eng ako...supporter din ako ...so maski ayaw ko kay Fabio...eh wala akong magagawa...lalong ayaw ko rin kaw Terry pero kailanagn suportahan ang ENG kse OP ako dito kung iba hehehe...

Youve got your story wrong mate....completely the way 'round

Gallas only came up as a possible trade kse na-buking si Ashley Cole at si Mourinho naguusap sa isang cafe in London, whilst Cole was still an Arsenal player...he moved because of money and Chelsea was the flavor of the month at that time.....na fine pa nga ang Chelsea for illegally approaching Cole....Gallas was traded kse nde naman basta ibibigay ng Arsenal si Cole na walang kapalit....

The Arsenal organization prides itself on playing the game by the book...walang hanky panky...walang illegal approach...lahat above board...and most of all never buy overrated and over priced players....

Ayos ang recollection mo ng facts, wala ka bang Arsenal encyclopedia sa tabi mo? I remember this event and was very disappointed with Ashley Cole at that time. This rivaled my disappointment when Henry made the switch to Barcelona after making an earlier statement that he would not leave Arsenal and would be a Gunner for life. Anyway, I do hope Arsenal maintains their hold on the top spot of EPL, medyo malakas ang challenge ng Chelsea, with ManU breathing down their necks.

  3. although i support liverpool in the epl (kase yun na talaga team ko before), i must commend arsene wenger and arsenal:

first, because along with barcelona (shempre i had to mention my fave team hehe), they play the most attractive football in europe. funny how before wenger came along, arsenal were dubbed the most boring team in england.

second, they built the team without spending an outrageous amount of money in the transfer market. they spend wisely, bringing in youth players and developing them. just look at fabregas (free transfer from barcelona), van persie (just $5m from feyenoord) and denilson ($6.5m from Sao Paolo). all future world class players...

I agree with you damaso... I am an Arsenal supporter ever since... Although they lost the face of the franchise (in my opinion) Henry, Wenger didn't do bad in getting quality players without spending much. He believed in buying cheaper "potential" than the more costly "developed" talent. So far they are having a good start... Go Gunners!

  4. Heartbreaking for France and their supporters (I am one of them as I have been rooting for both Germany and France - was dreaming that both would meet in the final hehehe). It was a good game by France, and they should have won. Italy was boring as they were hoping that it would go to penalties. Malas lang at wala yung 3 more reliable World Cup '98 veterans (Zidane, Henry and Vieira) for the penalty shoot out. With Zidane out via the red card and Vieira injured, I question Henry's substitution. Everyone did well for the PK except of course for the miss by David Trezeguet which was the eventual difference.

Congratulations to Germany for grabbing 3rd place. Klinsmann should stay on as coach.

  5. Definitely GLOBE...

Was an original Globe subscriber, but tried using SUN and SMART with the following results:

    - SUN's unlimited call and text is a scam. Maybe a few of you can agree with me if you've tried using it (network congestion, no signal,...). There was even an article if I remember it correctly, in the Inquirer, where a subcriber complained that his unlimitext subscription was suddenly cutoff. When he tried to call up customer service, was given the statement that he was an abusive texter that's why he was cut. How could they say that when SUN advertises their service as unlimited. How can you abuse that? :thumbsdownsmiley:

    - As for SMART, sobrang dami ng subscribers which should have been a plus for subscribers because you could call and text a lot more people without the additional cross network charges (translates to savings). Kayang tapatan ang Globe sa signal coverage, but it turns out the network is congested (delayed text, can't make outgoing calls and the big whammy based on personal experience: I tried calling a friend - using a SMART phone, who was beside me. Her phone - also SMART, was turned on but can't contact her - unattended daw or out of coverage area). Grabe! :thumbsdownsmiley:

Kaya tinapon ko na yung dalawang SIM ko na SUN at SMART...

GLOBE na ako for good... :thumbsupsmiley:

  6. Ang daming naglaro sa PBA na talaga namang magaling kulang ang 10 para ilista sila lahat. I will list what immediately comes to my mind which made a mark in the PBA pero alam ko kulang pa ito:

    - Andrew Fields

    - Billy Ray Bates

    - Bobby Parks

    - Michael Hackett

    - Chris King

    - Joe Ward

    - Sly Gray

    - Tony Harris

    - Michael Young

    - Norman Black

    - Lamont Strothers

    - Carlos Briggs

    - Darren Queenan

    - Winston Crite

    - Byron Snake Jones

    - Cyrus Mann

    - Sean Chambers

    - Terquin Mott

    - Devin Davis

    - Ansu Sesay

    - Porter

...ang hirap ha, dami pang kulang (aside from the fact that the list gives away my age )...

  7. Anywhere na mura ang beer.  I think sa gweilos in eastwood's cheap.  Haven't been to NSG eh.

    Allons-y, France!!!!!

Big blow to FRANCE...Cisse broke a leg in friendly with China. He's definitely out of the World Cup. Sayang...

But my opinion on the top four still holds: Brazil, Germany, France, England (Iran has an easy group, if they could keep playing the way they have been playing in their recent friendly matches, they could be the surprise of the 2006 World Cup. Players to watch for are Ali Karimi, the "Asian Maradona" and the older but experienced striker Ali Daei).

  8. Viva BRAZIL !!

    Viva Ronaldhino, Ronaldo!!!!

BRAZIL is the top team to beat!!!!

    always been a Ronaldo fan!

I would agree that Brazil is the team to beat (with the way they played the most recent friendlies)... and they are the defending champs...

I am rooting for the host team Germany...unproven team but who knows what the home crowd can do? It happened in Japan/Korea in 2002 when Korea sprung up a surprise...

Legitimate contenders: France (because of my favorites Zidane and Henry), England (played well recently) and the dark horse Iran...
