  1. * If I was bitter, I would've been on Ricci's case on why he REALLY left for UP. But I wasn't

    * Have you seen how Kobe played when he was in LSGH? He was with Prince then and his game is built on iso plays. Ricci goes iso too. Same frame, same game.

*La Salle won a championship during Ricci's rookie year, Jeron's last. It wasn't Ricci who brought that chip alone. We had graduating players Thomas Torres and Jason Perkins on that lineup. Veteran savvy to an extent maybe (not sold on some of their "leadership skills" but yeah)

And tbh, your Kyrie Irving comparison just showed that you really are just shooting from the hip with these comments of yours hahahaha

  2. Have to find an avenue to say this and this is probably where I could say it

Ever since UP won the do-or-die game versus Adamson on Bright's shot, everyone's like "People of the Philippines versus Adamson". Now it'd be "People of the Philippines versus Ateneo". So yeah, it's one hell of a case, truth be told  That, and we all love a feel-good story.

Now, commenting on the basketball side of things. I know this place isn't big on sports so I won't be really too big on analysis but saying that Ricci and Kobe would've tilted the favor on UP's side this year is a total farce. Juan GDL NEEDS the ball. Ricci ballhawks because he is a break-down-defenses-with-my-athleticism type of player. Ditto with Kobe. Kobe'd probably be worse given that he's never participating even with Team B games. UP's synergy of going with its guards (Juan facilitating, Paul Desiderio scoring as needed, the inspired play from Diego Dario the last few games) would be a relatively big shift come next year given that it intends to work with wing guys by then. So yeah, I'm hoping UP wins it this year albeit all the odds because next year's gonna be hard, especially with rejigging teams

  3. Wait for the Kiwi young 'un for S81. Tiebreaker Times had rolled out an article about him. What makes me gidd though is the thought of Baltazar owning up, Gob playing again, and Santillan becoming a bona fide star. Hoo looks like he’s leaving too so Prince has his work cut out for him

  4. My nephew is in the Phils but he was able to download it successfully by modifying the IP address.

yeah, it's possible but it'd be buggy ata if you do that. We really enjoy pirating stuff, huh?

I think, Niantic's reasoning why Pokemon Go is still not released here in the PH, as well as SEA and Japan, is because mas maraming players ang papasok sa mga servers here than the 26 new countries na inannounce nila.

yeah, though I think the Philippines would be clustered under the Americas region a la Battle.Net (it's slower if a Filipino player connects to the Asian server)

  5. Elrid payton?

That kid has no decent outside shot....cant finish strong at the rim...maybe 2-3 more years for him to get a breakout season....

Im more of thinking a breakout season for their 2 bigs...vucevic and aaron gordon....with ibaka now mentoring them....nikolai can focus on the offensive end....and aaron gordon hopefully will have a blake griffin type of season....i always see aaron gordon as an eastern conference version of blake...

Oladipo? From being a starter...now he has to fight for his minutes with waiters....unless oladipo is OKCs insurance if ever waiters doest resign also....

Sabonis, kanter and adams...now thats a solid frontcourt lineup....

yeah, I agree with your Payton analogy that he's far from being there. Luckily, they still have Brandon Jennings and it feels like everyone overlooked him. Then again, an Achilles injury really dampens your career to the brim.

VO's gonna take over Roberson and Waiters in the rotation and would start alongside Russ, KD, Adams, and Kanter. Another great piece too if they do decide to not give Cam Payne too much minutes.

Ibaka's gonna be a double-edged sword for Orlando. Yes, he could cover up for Nik Vucevic's defensive lapses but he also hurts Aaron Gordon's development if he plays the four a lot. They tried using Gordon at the three last year and he wasn't really efficient. Then again, that was at a time he was playing as Tobias Harris' sub.

What I liked about Orlando's move was that they not only rid themselves of a logjam in the wings, but it's really clear that they want to have shooters around their bigs. This is so 'cause Mario Hezonja's a better shooter than VO. Ditto with Evan Fournier who'd they would definitely sign this summer. And yes, Jennings > Payton in terms of shooting too so that's that.

Tbh, the Magic could up the ante and get something better than Elfrid Payton. Three-way trade with the Sixers and the Suns? Payton to Philly (who originally drafted him and was traded for Dario Saric), Brandon Knight to Orlando, Phoenix gets Fournier or a Philly pick? :D

  6. if you think of it either as being free or being alone, you kinda have a different perception and / or appreciation of relationships. Being single again after a long period of having someone means that you ought to reflect on things and backtrack on what you've learned from being in a long relationship. From that point you'd have to draw a conclusion as to whether you'd pursue the same length in terms of relationships or you'd rather have short ones. Tenure isn't what matters after a breakup, it's about what you've learned from it all :)

  7. Nasa sg ako now. Wala malabo pa ako makabalik may 2 year gov proj kasi ako dito. Kanino ka nanaman inlove? Dito sa overseas walang maka piling na thera. Iba pa rin si ch..... hahaha joke lang

dapat ikaw yung best-case example dito eh. Get over it man. hahaha  Umuwi ka na dito ililibre mo ako diba? hahaha  Ihahanap kita kung ililibre mo ako :P

  8. Sa mga na inlove dito ano ang nauna ATW or LOVE?

    latest episode? Love.

Kasi minsan mas na-appreciate mo yung idea na tao pa din sila and capable of being in love with them.

I was actually talking to a new guy here in the forums and we were discussing about theras. We kinda agreed with something. Falling for a therapist involves having a Messiah Complex for these men -- trying to give them a better life outside the ESpa world. Pero ang mahirap kasi jan, if the person doesn't see the beauty of the real world and is generally conceited over the fact that it doesn't exist, well, wala din. You can't save someone who isn't in dire need of saving to begin with, anyway.

  9. too sleepy, so I decided to reply in this thread again.

saying that these girls don't deserve to be loved is insulting to say the least. That being said, everything we write here's very subjective (or, to use the very colloquial term of theras, YMMV).

I agree with those saying that if you intend to fall for one, it's that someone with a better resolve: someone who's really committed to leaving the industry for a reason (i.e. doing this to fund school, too old to settle for this job in the long run). It's always about having the resolve to get out. TBH, I've been friends with a ton of them - theras and managers alike - and they don't see an end point in all these. When your world's secluded, your mindset changes. Your heart adapts to the cruelty of this world.

Falling for a therapist would usually be unrequited love on the part of the client, most of the time. Falling in love is one thing, being in love with one another is a different thing altogether. Staying in love is also another thing :)

  10. If the Cs somehow manage to get Howard in a trade for Lee & Jerebko/and or Zeller and they get lucky in the draft and get Ben Simmons, I smell a dynasty cooking. Ben Simmons is more of like a taller and more athletic Magic Johnson. I hope, if the Cs get lucky, Brad could also make him a Larry Bird. We need someone clutch.

would want to ask you this question sir Mason: would you really want the Cs pulling off a trade for D12 knowing his history of being a total headcase?

  11. Do you all think Jordan Norwood is the only NFL player of filipino descent? Doug Baldwin has some filipino blood in him. And current players like Eugene Amano an offensive lineman for the Titans. Steve Slaton running back, Aaron Francisco a safety & Chris Gocong a linebacker. And some people are probably familiar with Ted Bruschi a former linebacker for the Patriots.

Did mention Doug Baldwin (I can even remember his inverted Filipino flag thing back then ) but I'm unaware of the other players (not too adept with the other players tbh)

Anyway, who's up to get next year's lottery pick in the NFL? You think Derrick Henry, this year's Heisman Trophy winner gets to be picked first overall? I'm too used to the NBA Draft Lottery I'm really unsure how the NFL and MLB teams pick (i.e. based on credentials or needs)

  12. If the panthers have #keeppounding

    The Broncos have #keepgrindin

    #panthersflattened

    #BroncosSuperbowlChamps

    #JoshNormancried

much like the Grit and Grind Grizz, huh? But yeah, Denver had the D to keep Cam and company at bay. Kony Ealy would've won MVP if the Panthers won though. Dude was really their most potent weapon. Blitz game by the Broncos really stifled Cam's offensive game. Would've wanted more from Stewart (though he got hurt early) and Greg Olsen though. Ginn did well too IMO.

Besides, look at the bright side....if that happens, the cap will go down on Seattle and that could give them the leverage to look for other potential players to fill the HB position.

Doesn't Paul Allen spend gobs of money in the NFL like he does in the NBA, or even bigger? TBH, I'm unsure as to how Russell Wilson should anchor the offense (is Doug Baldwin his best WR option on the team? Ain't Norwood gonna be an FA after this season? They could be a market for Filipinos watching given their heritage LOL) so I'm really bent on the Seahawks' passing game. Then again, they're built on sound defense anyway.
